Unzip it and look inside before you buy. I purchased the $9,000 top of the line and it's a cheap camping mattress with 3 layers of egg crate foam. Poorly put together. Kimberley, the sales rep, outright LIED when she told us we could try it for 30 days and if we didn't like it we would only have to pay $150 to ship it back. NOW they say the $3000 base is not returnable. This is NOT stated on the contract either. When I talked to Bryant, her boss, he said she is an "Amazing performer." SCAM!
as an airline pilot for a company that, untiul recently, had many contracts with a hotel chain that uses these beds i feel qualified to say that they are terrible. they don't breath, they're often loud and the sleeping area is tiny for a grown man. even the king size is tiny because it's just 2 small air chambers seperated by some kind of semi-rigid frame that can't be slept on. thankfully, after our entire pilot/flight attendant group demanded it, we are no longer forced to endure them.
Select comfort is a over priced air mattress bad news is they keep finding mold in the air chambers and people will buy into the sales pitch that its very rare, well if its very rare how rare? Our neighbor had one and air was constantly leaking somehow and the whole unit was just garbage. Oh they feel comfortable in a showroom but a year or two down the road problems with the motor and comfort levels change. NO i dont work for a competitor just speaking the truth.
I have one of these beds and it has been good. There are downsides though. When something breaks, it is expensive to replace. My controllers quit after only three plus years. $164 to replace.
of course anyone who SELLS them will speak highly about them and their customers, but from what i can tell is...the customer is only happy till it breaks - then its more to fix than what the bed is worth --- hmmm, I have been having serious thoughts about getting one like this till i read the reviews, now im not so sure
i agree, i dont own one either, i kinda figured they were too new to the industry,. there has to be unsatisfied customers out there, thx for the comment
been happy w/ mine for 4 years now and i'll never go back to anything else, wish i could upgrade though to their new models, wish they had a bed trade-in deal for an upgrade
I heard the foam and pillow top cover on these beds wear out after a year or so and very expensive to replace. Warranty doesn't cover it either. This is not good!
What you heard was wrong. I've had one for 4 years now and the only issue I had just this month was w/ my pump and they fixed it w/ no problem. It was covered under warranty. The paperwork you get has a 20 year warranty. Don't know about others but I love my sleep number bed.
Thanks for posting your store experience. It's a Great Bed! My Sleep Number is 35. I run a Sleep Number store in the Chicago area. If any viewers are in the area and want to find out more. Send me a message. The best nights sleep you'll ever have!
Sleep Number / Select Comfort sucks out loud. Shitty warranty, breaks down after a year and a half, replacement parts expensive and you gotta do them yourself, really difficult Don't wast your money.
I sell these beds here in Tampa, and customers LOVE them! Mattress Firm is the only retailer here in the Tampa area to carry these beds, outside of the mall stores.
I would pay a million dollars for it...best bed...I bought mine at Sleep Country Canada and they were awesome!! Great service and best delivery!! They set my bed up for us!! Amazing...why buy a mattress anywhere else?? Thank you Sleep Country, changed my life...best sleep ever!!
my numbers 50 and my wifes is 45. i've been having bad back problems maybe this is the answer. just got an email on a deal for the 7000 series. i really want it!
HUt i went to one of those in Savanaha,Ga for a High School football i'm olny 12 and my presure point was at my lower back yeah I could really tell a diffrence a mchine pushes something to where the preasure piont is but it cost to much lol!
I slept on one of those in a hotel and there must have been a leak because every 10 to 15 minutes I had to re-set it. I didn't get much sleep that night.
I bought one of those back in August. It'sawesome. 55, but since I go by how it FEELS, I bought the remote with no number and saved $200. At the store it was 55.
I hate this bed there zero support for the middle between the 2 air cambers .
I wish I had my 2800 back .
