Sharks do not have bone, bone is a particular substance, hydroxy apatite, I think. Shark jaws are made of cartilage. Cartilage is not bone. It functions in pretty much the same way, but decomposes a lot faster, hence why shark skeletons are few and far between. So if we are being pedantic sharks don't have bone, though outside of actual science, their cartilagenous bones are just called 'bone' this is incorrect but anyway.
