  • im switching this off now, i cant bare the screaming, this isnt funny at all!

  • @MrDavey85 They why watch this P.S. your tasteless

  • ..........I wonder if Gary ever showed this vid to his wife! :)

Hello from across the pond - Cape Cod, MA

  • He was a great comic. Ahead of his time. Miss you Sammy!

  • ...oh...oh...OOOOHHHHHHHHH!!

  • institution designed to enslave women, literal property. now we use the instution, women embrace the " male is right, be his cheerledder and servant then finds her cooking and cleaning make him more like a son. Damn, he cant oppress her with his own institution.Still women get half in divorce because she cant work annymore, it goes back to the days when gus bought wives, then gave them back, paid alimony to women;s fathers. Sad that caring for one's offspring is a bore. adopt out.

  • I remember seeing this when it was on TV here in the UK, or England as we used to call it before we had to acknowledge the Scottish, Irish and Welsh.

  • Comic Sam Kinison blamed bad Chinese food for no-show as sole guest on “The Joan Rivers Show”. Rivers waited four hours for his arrival on the 1st anniversary of IRAq invading Kuwait: Fri., 8/02/91. Rivers’ mentor, Johnny Carson, hosted Garry Emmanuel Shandling, Charles Fleischer and Diana Reeves on the 8/02/91 ep. of “Tonight Show”. Rivers, Jewish, did 9 months with Chicago’s improvisational “The Second City”, while Chicago mayor Rahm Israel Emanuel was born on Shandling’s 10th b’day: 11/29/59

  • The King is dead. Long live the King

  • @libertarianable I love him and I'm British! (Well, Welsh.) And I shout a lot too!

  • @DerekTaff Yeah he inspired me to do comedy so I like shouting too

  • @ProModChev518 Just watched his 1st Letterman appearence then this both mid-80's. He was tame on this and in front of a small British audience who had just grown sick of 20 years of 'my wife my wife' comedy. Yet they liked him and found him funny (I did then and do now). So whats with the comments about no sense of humour? Its not as if US comedians DON'T have a following in the UK. But 99% of Americans have never even herd of Ken Dodd Les Dawson Harry Hill Roy Chubby Brown or Milton Jones.

  • Thank you Sam were ever you are! You were the only one that got me through a tough time. RIP my friend.

  • ADC

  • Who here is british and loves sam kinison

  • Die wohl provokaktivsten und witzigsten Ratschläge zum Thema Ehe gibts nur von dem unvergleichlichen Sam Kinison!

  • You can tell transitioning his material for appropriate British standards was tough for him, but he pulled it off pretty well.

  • This guy is amazing

  • Is just me or does those light behind Sam look like the light sabre beam from Darth Vader and Luke?

  • A true original and a legend of great comedy.

Cool clip of a healthy fine looking Sam Kinison.

    RIP Sam x

  • Do Brits have lawns? The Royals yes but Lawn Cultue is an American thing. Tough to carry over.

  • @godofthisshit Yes mate, we've got 'lawns' - no worry in translation on that one

  • @godofthisshit lol, of course we have lawns in the UK, why on earth would you think that we don't?

  • @Hittingitstiff

Not like the States. Mostly the wealthy and estates have lawns in the UK. Lawn and yards are not always the same thing.

  • @godofthisshit Thats not true at all, i think that roughly 90% of all houses in Britain have lawns/gardens and only a very small minority only have yards and people who live on wealthy estates dont really have "lawns" they just have acres of land.

  • @Hittingitstiff

A garden and a lawn are two different things in the States. How many people in the U.K drive a vehicle to cut they lawn?

  • @godofthisshit We tend to have grassed areas in our gardens which we continually feed, aerate, roll and mow. You will have a lawn if you do that for 300 years.

  • this audience, does not respond at all to this act

  • "SHE'S GOT MY JOHNSON!"

    LOL!

  • Genius

  • @onewolfseye People like you should die slowly by having your throat slashed wide open.

  • the flaw with sams act as far as capturing whole audiences is that he screamed a lot. the intelligent people in the audience would hear him scream and assume hes a moron, so they dont bother listening to the actual cleverness of what he says. while in america (yes we are a dumber audience overall) we love to hear his screaming, he usually got his best laughs from when he yelled (which is kinda dumb). bill hicks was WAY more popular in england, he made just as much sense as sam, just yelled less.

  • @penal420 I don't think it has to do with american audiences being dumber. It probably has more to do with what's culturally acceptable. Screaming in acts in america just adds emphasizes what he's trying to get across, while in england people would be like "he's screaming so loud" and then not really pay attention to what he's saying. It's a theory anyway.

  • @penal420 they are so different that I wouldn't say Sam's flaw was his scream. People might not have understood of Kinison's scream but it was hysterical because it was so unique and expressive of his attitude.

  • I wonder if Gary remembers that face?

  • Met Sam....he was a wonderful guy!

  • What a fricken classic

  • Miss you Sam....

  • "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!"

  • So interesting seeing the difference in how the audience reacts in England compared to American audiences....

  • come on he he come onn this is love

  • she took it all and i try not to have an attitude about it

  • she took it all

  • I like the part when he said "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

  • proof he could work clean

  • i've watched this about 20 times in the past few days, it doesn't stop being funny. especially the part "hi this love real love come on"

  • the last comment nailed it on the fucking head!

  • I agree this guy is alright but what is all this bollocks about american comedians being better than british comedians. I could probably give you about 1000 examples of great British comedians who are better than anything America has ever give to us but I don't really need to. One name. DANIEL KITSON!!!

  • @Kenweird1982 George Carlin.

Your argument is refuted. I'm English btw.

  • @moshpotpaul you're english? you have my sympathies. haha just kidding

  • @judgerofwars Doing your country proud I see =)

  • @Kenweird1982 George Carlin, Bill Hicks, Sam Kinison, Lenny Bruce. Who do we have? Mr fucking bean.

  • @tehf00n Jerry Sadowitz, Frankie Boyle, Stewart Lee, Johnny Vegas, Chris Morris, David Mitchell, Charlie Brooker just to name a few.

  • @ThePsycoDolphin

Not a patch on the Yanks, mate.

    Doug Stanhope, Mort Sahl ...

  • @bollockowithalob admittedly they are good but I think you have underestimated british comedy at bit.

  • @ThePsycoDolphin

Who would you rate from Blighty?

    Would be interested to know.

  • @bollockowithalob Sean Lock, Bill Bailey, Daniel Kitson, Simon Amstell, Frankie Boyle, Stewart Lee, Mitchell and Webb, Dara 'O Briain, Jack Dee, Charlie Brooker, Marcus Brigstocke, Ed Byrne, Armando Iannuci, Steve Coogan, Johnny Vegas, Reg D Hunter, Russell Howard, Dylan Moran, Chris Morris. Don't know how many you wanted so I gave you 20

  • @tehf00n Jerry Sadowitz, Frankie Boyle, Johnny Vegas, David Mitchell, Charlie Brooker, Chris Morris, Stewart Lee just to name a few.

  • @ThePsycoDolphin Chris Morris is the only legend there. I like all the others too, don't get me wrong, however I felt I was referring to comedic genius rather than made for tv controversy.

  • @tehf00n Stewart Lee not comic genius?

  • @tehf00n David Mitchell and Stewart Lee not comic geniuses?

  • @ThePsycoDolphin maybe but they aint legends. to be fair stewart lee isnt that funny but maybe thats because he portrays himself as a bit of a cockend. David Mitchell is funny but his over-pretentious nature makes him out to be a dick too but maybe thats because im northern and his blue blood approach is sickening to me.

  • Can you imagine Sam as a father? There is no way his kids would misbehave! Haha! Take cookies before dinner.. "AUUGGH! PUT THE FUCKING COOKIES BACK!" Oh, he is sorely missed. <3

  • death to that man who killed sam on the highway in navada

  • @glynamus He was a 17 year old kid who was drunk so he should die and burn in hell.

  • english comedians are so lame, and i'm english! the american comedians just had more fucking balls and personality. ours just look like cunts.

  • Cartman?

  • Remember this first time round, great days for comedy, especially American. Sad he died coz some drunken juvenile delinquent was allowed to get behind the wheel of a vehicle.

  • this is pretty civil considering its sam. i got the leader of the banned cd and i fucking love it. and no phone call from hell? poor brits being deprived of that classic shit man.

  • That crowd was LAME!

  • Amazing how seemingly "tight" the Brit audience is compared to America's audiences. It's like they hadn't experienced anything like that before. They seemed unsure if to laugh or not. But in the end...they sure gave Sam a big applause.

  • RIP Sam your screaming can still be heard

  • it wasnt the drunk driver that killed him.

    it was the ex-wife

  • REMEMBER THAT FACE GARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Democrities I do

  • He should have been in a metal band

  • I bet Gary still remembers that face.

  • How come hacks never die before their time

  • @purplenurps probably the same reason why we don't find gold all over our garden but weeds are always plenty, yeah it sucks but we get used to it.

  • @makemarker ok

  • Reaching hands across the pond . He was hell ! Broke the barrier. RIP !

  • Great routine, but the Brits didn't get the humor as much...I don't think?

  • ...

    L O L ! ! !

    That is fuckin GOLD!!!

Sam Kinison was one of the very best!

Sad that he had to go. Great loss.

  • wow british people have no idea what sense of humor was if it stood infront of them and smacked them in the face

  • @steven4rmnewyork So is that why most american comics from the past 20 years are influenced by british comedy?

  • @purplenurps how did you come around to that thought? I seriously hope its not one of yours.

  • @steven4rmnewyork well because most american jizz over british comedy, so that's where it came from.

  • @purplenurps are you mentally stable?.lol relax man

  • @purplenurps Most American comics from the past 20 years are influenced by british comedy? What the fuck are you smoking? We can't stand what you call comedy. It's boring, just like you brits are boring.

  • @gobacktoschoolmoron Peter sellers, monty python, sasha baron cohen just to name a few.

  • @gobacktoschoolmoron

Billy Connoly was voted the worlds greatest stand up... and he's British.

  • @Darkez982 who gives a shit about votes. they poll idiots half of the time. i sure as fuck didnt and wouldnt vote for him as the worlds greatest comic. hes great but going by votes are for simple minded people. yes i know i insulted you, you're that easy cause you worry about votes, and that was my vote.

  • @penal420

Wow I don't even remember leaving that comment! Yeah voting don't mean shit.

  • @gobacktoschoolmoron your a cunt. sorry thats me being boring again.

  • @gobacktoschoolmoron Eddie Izzard,Ricky Gervais , Bill Bailey, Russell Brand, Jimmy Carr,Billy Connolly,Lee Evans,Sean Lock,Marcus Brigstocke,Frankie Boyle..........most these guy weren't around in comedy 20 years ago but they are a few good british comedians that i like.

  • Want to bet the 5 who disliked this video were women? What a hoot this man was. The routines are timeless, and the married man face is all too real.

  • I think a lot of Kinston fans have seen the same act with swearing and it's much better.

  • @cupomash2 Howard Stern mentioned at one point that Sam WAS funnier when drunk.

  • I can see some influence of bill hicks in him ...or the other way around.

  • Oh bless him and RIP Sam

  • Thanks, I've been looking for this for years!

I don't think the British really got him.

    I did, f****** brilliant!

  • ' i wouldn't lie to you nine times in a row'

  • remember that face gary!

  • Kinison rules!!! Thanks for posting...

  • Sam Kinison was the first marriage striker!

  • IT LIED TO ME AGAIN!

  • "I'd like to publically laugh at that." HAHAHAHAH!!! Oh man, if that isn't the truth I don't know what is.

  • @ollbo200010 GTFO, if you don't like him, don't Troll on every vid that's posted DipShit. Burn in hell. RIP Kinison

    bill hicks too

    is english btw

  • @tonyboysax Bill Hicks was from Texas how is he English?

  • two words scott peterson

  • classic

  • I love this man. People have said to me that he's just a "novelty" act, the novelty being his shouting. And do you know what I say to those people? "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!"

  • @MacJaxonManOfAction WELL THOSE PEOPLE OBVIOUSLY DIDNT KNOW WHAT THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT LOL BECAUSE THIS MAN IS A ICON OF STAND UP COMEDY AND ONE OF THE GREATEST EVER ANYWAYS TAKE CARE

  • @MacJaxonManOfAction

Honesty is real in his words.

  • Thank God for Sam. And video so we can keep laughing forever. RIP Sammy.

  • I like how he's still audible even when the mic is unplugged or away from his face.

  • This is PG Kinison. Where he has to clean up his routine for TV. And he's still funny.

The best to ever live. Bar none.

  • I wonder what Gary is doing these days...

  • funny shit. stll miss ya brither R.I.P.

  • His routine is funny, but almost word for word the same as his first appearance on Letterman.

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

    lol omg

  • @JohnWayne6826 IT LIED TO ME AGAAAIN!!!!!!!!!

  • Brilliant. Miss you, dude.

  • An outrageously funny comic. Just like Bill Hicks in that he was taken from us far too soon. Rest in peace buddy.

  • The brits don't know what to make of him.

  • kinison is foockin ace

  • Yeah, imagine that, a comedian who made his name off a primal scream and general ignorance when it comes to other countries such as Russia and Libya over someone who wasn't a one-trick pony and had a little more intelligence in his act.

Still like both, but don't see much similarity between them except Kinison's Have You Seen Me Lately? work.

  • Really? I think Hicks is MUCH funnier you should give him a better chance

  • The sound engineers on this program must have been amatures

  • He was and still is one of the best all time Stand-Up Comedians.

  • "you ASS open the door!"

    LMAO

  • Love his outfits.

  • sam was so kewl!

    R.I.P.

  • When he yells at the guy, his face actually looks like a gorilla

  • It's my understanding that Gary is unmarried to this day.

  • He's also dead

  • He died in a car accident on April 10, 1992.

  • i know sam died of car crash on 4/10/92. but im talking about gary.
