@cheater30 I had the same problem and i think it might relate to the fact you have a USB cord mouse, the game's software goes haywire since USB Mouses were a rare breed back when this was designed - get one of those cords with a classic mouse port and USB insert - worked for me at least.

@cheater30 are you using the steam version of the game or the disc version? i strongly believe it has something to do with your resolution settings as i've always had a usb connected mouse and have never had that kind of problem, but i do recall on one occasion when switching to a larger monitor (my current one as a matter of fact..) that the resolution caused some kind of problem.

Newest Deus Ex rank very high in my personal ranking. Maybe because I haven't played a really good FPS game for a LONG time...because there wasn't one coming out since Crysis Warhead! Every modern FPS is blatant COD ripoff, completely linear without any secrets and with this horrible duck-for-3-sec-regain-100%HP and infinite ammo mechanics. DX:HR is the only modern FPS that isn't a play-once-and-you've-seen-ever­ything type :(

When this played at the end of the Secret Ending of Human Revolution, chills went down my spine. Deus Ex is one of THE greatest games of all time. Period. Eidos, please remake or update this game for new systems. The gameplay, the story/plot, and the action will never get outdated; just release the game for newer systems. Even newer Macs and PCs can't run the old game anymore!

If they remade it they would have to update the graphics, the sound (especially the awful voice acting), and the mechanics. because they scream obtuse early 2000's PC game that's trying to do more than it's technology is capable of. I'll bet Eidos Montreal would be more than qualified for the job.

HR is absolutly worth being compared to the first. but i have to admit: those of you playing the first one nowadays before getting to HR don't experience the game as what it was like 11 years ago. its not meant in an impolite way, i'm just sorry for you guys because old mechanics cannot carry an amazing story. back then it was just stunning. for me HR is the first game ever since then thats able to amaze me in the same badass way! I still get goosebumps on every playthrough ;)

I have to say I disagree with you. I liked deus ex human revolutions alot better it just seemed to for the context of the game better and gives it a dark mood. This sounds like a mixture of alot of genres but jot too soundtrack sounding. And many games have great soubtrack nowadays, assassins creed mass effect are a couple.

@romandoggie well in terms of gameplay design & atmosphere, DX:HR is better, but story? the original Deus Ex is much better. DX:HR story was also great, but it doesn't reach the same depth as the original Deus Ex. The original DX has a lot more conspiracy issues & theories, deeper & a lot more mature, The story in DX:HR is more straight-forward & short.

the original Deus Ex also had deeper conversations (the Morpheus one), its on par with 'hidden-legacy' RPGs like PS: Torment and Fallout 2

Human Revolution is fantastic. You owe it to yourself to pick it up if you liked the original. If you want more games like Deus Ex, support the ones we get guys. Otherwise games like this really will be gone forever.
