It is an everyday driver that him and my grandpa built,oh and it needs a new carb.My grandpa had been building beetles since the 50s he once had a 56 that he rolled over and then rebuilt the engine in 63 he raced a bran new porsche 911 and blew his doors off! He said my grandma used to get pulled over on a regular basis just because they wanted to know why it sounded soo cool!!!

hello i am in venezuela i am make swap in bug with engine ej 257,300 hp subaru sti but i don`t know that trans should use that can recomended sir? my car is tipe 1 trans swing
@hedw30@hedw30 A modified 091 bus tranny or a Mendola trans (w/ IRS conversion & 930 Porsche stub axles, race hardened cv's, & axles for either). Either way, be prepped to spend big money on whichever you choose.
The Mendeola has the advantage of being a drop in trans swap, while the 091 requires more modifications to work correctly & ultimately can't handle the same power output.
very well engineered car, very impressive consistency, well done all involved, im always impressed with draw through carb performance! in a world of efi an throttle bodies ,you demonstrate how effective simple technology still runs the numbers...., respect.
@ChambersRacing98 Nice bug, definately fast. I believe I've watched all of your vids, but I don't see any of the 6.50's or any 10.5 or any 10.7 ? I saw a 7.60? (or something) and I counted aproximately 11.5 on most of the other videos, and it definately wasn't lifting at the 1/8th mark. I feel you might be exagerating on the times a fair bit, but I don't think you need to b/c it's still a very nice and hella fast machine! (If it actually is that fast it may inspire U 2 post more vids! :)
