emery certainly does NOT suck at goaltending. that is an absolutely ridiculous uninformed comment to make about a goaltender who maybe does have some trouble with proper behavior (getting to practice on time, not mouthing off, whatever), but BUT last year, when gerber decided to downright lose his shit in the playoffs, who stepped up? emery. this season, he's been dealing with a bullshit bureaucratic downright racist city full of fairweather fans.

Actually the problem was a 3.13 GAA and a .890 SV%. Those are both subpar in my book.
He had one decent season where he went to the finals on a great team. He's just not a starting goaltender if he's going to be late to practice and such. sorry, he's just not that good.

ottawa has one of the top three hockey teams in the league, except they also had essentially an open policy all season where your next loss in goal meant you didn't get to start the next game. what the hell kind of motivation does that give you if you're a goaltender? what kind of team spirit is that supposed to create?

i give full credit to the sabres for sticking up for the was best player at the time on their team. that was a huge cheap shot by neil and he deserved to get his ass beaten. and emery vs. biron was an unfair fight becasue for those that dont pay attention, emery is a boxer and peters is sticking up for his goalie
