i have a 98 sc400 vvti that im thinking of turboing with a t61 turbo at 6psi what do you think the only thing that is stoping me is that nobody produces a turbo manifold for the engine...what did you have to do? did you custom fabricate the header into a manifold? and which side? how much do you think it would cost and hard is it to do?

im running a 1uz with pair of gt25r garrets on 8.5psi stock internals........still strong as the day we built it...would recommend the head gasket change though :) up the 1uz!!!
@kingssuck06 As long as it is properly tuned 5-7psi is super safe. The internals can handle even more but replacing the stock head gaskits would be a good idea.

@wzkf289hx I did have a lot of problems with my AFRs so that could have been one of the reasons; honestly I don't know. If I were to do it again I would change it to the turbo inlet.

Hi, I really wanna turbo my SC400 but I have a couple questions. first of all do I really need to do any Piggy back tunning if i install the turbo or can the stock injectors and ecu work? (with a single T70) I meen I just want a decent street car i can drive evry day without having to fill up everyday xD, so any suggestions?
I drove it for a couple months with the bumper off. In this video it has no exhaust only 18 inches of down pipe ending at the front sway bar. Since last october at the HIN show in Phoenix it has had the original front bumper and a complete exhaust system.
My piggyback is a Split Second FTC-1 it controls fuel and timing. I am also running a control module from Split Second called the ESC-1 It interfaces with my piggyback and controls my o2 sensor signals through programing and a vacuum/boost port. The only thing I need now to get the system installed and up and running is a laptop computer. Anyone want to donate?

It's 250 HP, the dyno tech said on a dynojet it would likely be 280 which is around 320-330 engine HP. These pulls were done out of curiosity and for fun. real tuning begins when I get my piggyback and injectors.
7psi made 250 at the wheels on mustang dyno running 18.5:1 A/R meltdown lean; 13.2:1 is target. apexi SAFC and 251 injectors are not enough. still in tuning stages, by december I will have 460 injectors and custom piggyback. Target power is 400s at 8 to 10psi boost. Actually made deacent power for having no fuel in the engine. As I mentioned earlier STILL IN TUNING STAGES. Look for more video poasts in december and power update.
