Why doesn't crysis look this good in other vids on youtube?? All of your vids look absolutely stunning, no other game looks like this.

Becouse it is down to the TODs. The TODs contain lighting color, fog settings, filter settigns etc etc. This has zero effect on perfomance but can drastically make scenes/levels/maps look better. It all boils down to the modders artistic skills.

Couple a good TOD(s) with a good config and you got a good improvement.

And again all my videos are realtime captures of Crysis at highly playable framerates (without FRAPS running).

Well I use my own TODand config aswell as particle mod. But Ihear good things about CCC CudaSats TOD/config.

With Vista Ultimate it is possible to have videos for backgrounds. To bad I have premium version which lacks this feature as I was actually thinking about doing it. :)

There IS actually a hack that copies certain files from Ultimate and allows animated screensavers.

I have tried it myself and it works :D

Only thing I can hold against it, is that the birds aren't flting like swallos do.

But it looked like a movie until I consciously thought that.

It is actually fincehs not swallows. Their flight behavior is very similar judging by the finches I had some years ago. I had them fly free inside the house some hours each week! :)

it was the Physis custom map with vegetation I added and wildlife. I also tweaked the TOD and used my custom config.

The birds are groups of finches put at decent height and a watchtower for me to stand on.

I'll see if I can find the TOD I used since I changed it. Or I'll make a new one one of these days.

Really try out the editor it is really great and fun to use. :)

I'll add I didn't find it but I remade it it quite alike. A fast job but it looks equally good. Might tweak the fog settings to saturate the horisont colors if you want to. I have PMed the link for download.
