Actually, ANWR would be able to provide well more than six months of oil. The thing is, drilling is not technically possible for several more years, and the dent it would make in the market is estimated to be virtually inconsequential.
Mayhap if drilling had begun two decades ago, when the bill was first proposed, it would have done some good. Or even in 1996, when it passed through Senate again. As it stands, it's become a mostly pointless discussion.

More interesting than everything everyone has said is the appeals that Palin makes. She attempts to appeal to emotion by talking about her daughter, her son, and her family in general even making the point that she was a soccer mom. She doesn't only make verbal appeals look at her clothing and the camera men made sure to survey the audiences responses to her statements. How much diversity was actually in that crowd? H

Actually, ANWR would be able to provide well more than six months of oil. The thing is, drilling is not technically possible for several more years, and the dent it would make in the market is estimated to be virtually inconsequential.
Mayhap if drilling had begun two decades ago, when the bill was first proposed, it would have done some good. Or even in 1996, when it passed through Senate again. As it stands, it's become a mostly pointless discussion.

This is just me but as I watched the RNC, the messages were of division, liberals vs conservatives, east vs west, etc. While heavy in bio, the messages failed to address Republican policy failures and ended with a "fight fight fight" message from McCain that was unsettling.
Obama has the true message of unifying our nation to face the challenges of today and tommorrow head on. John isn't even computer literate which compels me to believe he is seriously out of touch. The RNC proved it.
