I think this is mordenized (or westernized) Chinese music. Mordenizing is better or not, it depends.

Anyway, it is morden part of Chinese culture.

Yeah got your point, but even though it's not 100% chinese, it surely can't be considered occidental music...

anyway, from my point of view, mixtures are good cause they provide music with the best of both cultures.
