I think the narrator is incorrect about something. To my knowledge, The first "troubled vampire" was Countess Zaleska from the 1936 sequel to Dracula, "Dracula's Daughter". She desperately wants to escape from her affliction, going so far as to burn Dracula's corpse, and openly admits she's unable to stop herself from killing innocent people, mostly women i might add.

I can't believe someone actually paid money to document this crap.
It was interesting up until the point where they started interviewing "modern vampires", a pseudo subculture influenced by Hollywood actors and Anne Rice novels. These "vampires" need to grow up and get a job.
