We don't need luck mate. Soccer will conquer all, Rugby League is in decline, sydneysiders are losing interests in Rugby League just look at the crowds for NRL and SOO. State OO had under 70,000, the China vs Australia game which was a dead rubber had more than 70K.

mate rugby league has been around for less than 200 years. soccer has been around for 3000+ years. for under 200 years rugby league is doing alot better than soccer. at this rate we will be as popular as soccer in about 100 years. i use to be a soccer person, but il tel you that rugby is way better. soccer is fun to play but watching is gay. they kick the ball around for 90 minutes and dont even score. we will c how dominamt soccer is in the next 10 years.

Yeah in the last 5 mins they manages two try's to just get them. It was a great tight contest. Everyone was impressed with the french.

If they get that 80 min Stamina this year instead of 60 mins then they will be a force in the WC.

Good to see French Rugby League in more robust health these days. European RL needs a strong France. With more players in Super League that should help raise the standard of the national team and help with the overall profile of the sport.

Good to see rl back where it belongs: Paris. And 7,000 attendence is very good. It's a shame the stadium was very open as I think there would have been a better atmosphere had it been more closed.

RL in France is definitely expanding, and I think north is the direction it should take!

Firstly get France in the Tri-Nations and get Toulouse in the SLE. Then work from Marseille, to Lyon and then to Paris. Once anything builds up momentum, it snowballs rapidly.

Well the roumours to come out of this game are:

*The Stade France President is looking at doing a Harlequins thing and have a XV and XIII team in the Elite.

*Toulouse seem to be on track for SL.

* France in a 2009 4-nations is confirmed.

The main thing keeping crowds away was the train strike that day. I would say it kept 3000 more fans away, the stadium was in a transport blackspot of sorts.

But it is great to see RL doing well in France.

Don't write them off yet mate. They have had a bad run of injuries, 14 top line players out, its given them a chance to blood some new players. Despite the losses I think the kiwis showed there is a bit of deapth there, just inexperience at the moment. Two of the losses to GB wer by small margins and could have gone either way. You'd be a silly man to write them off just yet.

Well the crowd was 7000, but there was a Rail strike that day so that probably kept crowds down a bit.

Look I think all teams have a chance to win technically. Oz can have a bad run of injuries atc as well. they will come off a long season so who knows. But If any upsets of the top 4 will happen then I think its tonga and Samoa. Very strong up front and fast from what I saw in the qualifiers.

I am just looking forwards to a great tournament.
