  • this makes me wanna jst go drive right now lol

  • Where'd you buy the kit? RHD kit not the Silvia front end kit lol

  • lol you pods on your car are up side down becouse there made for the other side....lol

  • @satinsk8er

lmfao i saw that and thought WTF? how can you see the gauges? funny stuff.... but the 1 thing that would bug the living shit outta me is that AFR gauge on wheel shit lights up alll time fuckkkk that.

  • hey, y dnt you guys just import a 180sx, i dont knoe ur laws or anything but i knoe that america only got the 240 cause nissan thought that americans would like a bigger engine, unlike australia where we got 180sx i love the sr20det :)

  • how long did it take to swap all of it??

  • But why did you cut the cars in half? Why didn't you just keep both cars as they were and have two cars instead of only one car?

  • thats awesome man

  • Man i dont know if i could drive stick with my left hand lol

Do u go threw the drive threws at McDonald's in reverse? XP

    Very nice tho.

  • that shit is sick

  • for advertising your shop as doing the work..you should have at least taken the time to do the conversion properly. it looks really hacked up.

  • do they not make right hand drive pillar pods??

  • Ok people are telling me to go to UTI to really learn about Nissans. But all i want to learn about is the 240sx. Is it worth going to UTI? I mean i can get basic automotive training and then adding a 9 week course on the nissan. Should I though?

  • is RHD in this street legal? or is it a long process to get it street legal? i was thinking to do this to my 240 as well, but if i won't be able to drive it on the road, kind of defeats the purpose for me.

  • @MehsterChief yea it's street legal... there's nothing in the law about having a car RHD.. it's still registered the same way and passes inspections like it did before being converted. I live in PA though, so the laws might be different other places.

  • @MehsterChief its street legal there's no law that says you have to drive on either side of the car I checked for months and asked highway patrol officers and police officers before doing my RHD conversion but I still run with ka24de on my s14.5

  • that thing screams JDM

  • its only a waste of time to people who cant do it

  • gtrracer9107 SR20's are not at all a bad engine the reason why people trash talk the sr20's is because the "RED TOP" SR's are more known to spin rod bearings and shit but the "BLACK TOPS" are newer and they are more tougher than the red top SR's and also its KA24de they never came with a T you mod them to make the T appear haha! and its a little hard to make the KA24DE got to a KA24DETT theres a lot of modification to do that

  • why the SR20?? thats like the worst motor out of all the nissans you shoulda went with a KA24dett or like a RB26dett both are easy to swap with little to no modification

  • @gtrracer9107

Your a raaatard. KADETT? Damn. RB26 little to no mds? Are you fking serious?

  • @Trax07 yes im serious the KA24 is a stock motor in the 240 the RB20- 26 need little to no modification to fit in the engine bay you basicly just swap out the X member from a skyine or silvia and pretty much everything bolts into place

  • you do realize the sr is from a silvia... japan version of 240 anyone? also its more then swapping the x member, you need new wiring harness, new tranny modify suspension so the car doesnt sag an extra inch, the list is pretty long, the sr all you have to do is steal the wiring harness out of a silvia, and you can bolt it up to the ka bell housing or easily put in a sr tranny, and considering that ive done the swap for both sr, rb25 and the ls1 id say by far the sr swap is the easiest

  • @4StrokeRage hey how hard would you say the ls1 swap was? like it seems pretty straightforward with a conversion kit but are there like a buncha extras that you need that arent really mentioned to have a dd? from what i gather it prolly would cost ball park 5gs? or is that way off

  • @shalezzz more money much more, maybe 6.5g's if your lucky (for parts in canada) assuming you buy it all new, do some more research the info is all out there

  • you must be smoking something strong over there fella... i hate internet mechanics...

  • fail!!

  • your a complete fucking idiot!!! this car is AMAZING!!!

  • yeah not to talk shit but that a sil-eighty but good work i doning that to my s13 coupe with a jdm front clip from japan so i cant wait to see the face of the person at the dmv that has to fig out what i did lol but heel of a job

  • nice car and great job for the swap. oooh and for those plz who tolk about get a skyline well car can be real cheap but the real deal is to legalized it for those fukrs of department of motor vehicles

  • nice car man... iv done a RHD swap on a s13 coupe. it can be done for pretty cheap as long as your not a pussy that cant solder some wires. hardest part is the clutch master cylinder and wiring the gauges.

  • why would you waste the money converting it, when it would have been way less expensive to just buy a right hand drive s13?

  • you know how much he import taxes would be if you buy a jspec 180sx s13 from japan? its not worth it at all.

  • Comment removed

  • there is no such thing as a j-spec 240. for god's sake people!!! S13's are 180sx's or Silvias over there. Only stupid america calls them 240's cuz we were the only ones to get the truck engine.

  • @Derreeus SO U MEAN TO TELL ME THE USA VERSION 240SX THAT I HAVE SITTIN OUTSIDE MY HOUSE HAS A TRUCK MOTOR THE (KA24DE)???,

  • @NISSAN240SX18SWAGGAP The 240sx came with the same engine as the nissan hard body truck... thats why the KA24 is referred to as the "truck motor"

  • @visionrx7 OH OK COOL, THANKS

  • @NISSAN240SX18SWAGGAP LMFAO!!!!!

  • @NISSAN240SX18SWAGGAP yah you have the shitty usdm swapped crap you gotta go jdm unles you don't care

  • i got my first 240sx for free the chassis is fucked, payed another 300 for a gutted out chassis,I'm currently swapping all parts from complete car over, I will be swaping in a SR20det into the car when i have the cash, and i'm considering to just pay the extra 500 for the full front clip of a 180sx,

That would be about 3000 and usually comes with some suspension components aswell as brakes As well as the dash engine wiring harness, ect firewall, So could be done reasonably.. I'm keeping it LHD

  • How much did this cost you?

  • how do you do a rhd conversion.

buy the interior from a japanese version 240?

  • hell of alot more than an interior... steering, braking and many other components are also required. for the amount of money and labor you would spend on a conversion you would be much better off importing a j-spec 240. but imo is it that cool to sit on the right side and not really accomplish anything? our cars are LHD to work with our road system... and how many performance mods could be made with that astronomical amount of money? and do you see japs converting to LHD? just my 2 cents...

  • if you buy a car from japan they are usually crashed. in japan if you crash your car the car and the motor becomes NO good anymore. would love a real jspec 240 but they say the shipping taxes are insane.

  • idk for sure but ive heard to get the car shipped over to the US is around 5000$ if u have the money n if u find a good deal n u kno the car is in good condition if u think about it its not all that bad but still kinda expensive

  • if i would pay 5000 to ship a car from japan it would be a skyline or a supra.

i think i would be cheaper if u buy an american 240sx and do the sr20det swap.

what is good about real jspec cars thy are usually in immaculate condition than the ones in america.

  • yea id prob just want to ship a GTR or supra i like the idea of a RHD swap the only car thats a RHD around here is a few GTRs n 1 type R intgra im prob g2 do a RHD on my car (maybe)

  • yea it better to do rhd on american gtr because they say the japan version r35 gr has a computer that limits the car to 110mph andit cant be removed

  • damn........just damn

  • i think anypart of having a project car is just to have all the fun with it that u can wheather u doo all the work or have it buit at a shop. the rhd is great. having something is diff is what every body seems to want.

  • Now the silvia emblems wont look severly retarted!

  • Why would you guys convert it to RHD when its still a USDM S chassis? Ridiculous.

  • nice job, keep up the good work, check my supercharged KA24E SOHC 240sx, 5 stars

  • is it possible to have sil80 front end on and 1995 s14? i love my the rear on my s14 but i really like sil80 front

  • Comment removed

  • wow, is the only thing you can do to cars other then japanese cars is add a turbo or supercharger kit? no. Throttle bodies, pulleys, brakes, clutches, transmissions, intakes, exhaust, sensor upgrades, bypasses etc... So the answer is no.

  • He did an entire engine swap. So the answer is YES.

  • what kind of bov is that!? omg sounds sick as hell

  • nice car! i swapped in my s13 blacktop wish i had some more time and money to do the rhd.

  • Why? thats such a waste of money...

  • Its not a waste of money if you do it yourself. If you already have the front clip from the engine swap, then all it costs is a few sawzaw blades, some cutting wheels, some welding wire, and your time. Even if you don't have a front clip... many people try to get rid of their clips after using the engine, so they are really cheap.

  • @delfartel Its not because he could easily sell it to a country that drives on the left. We drive RHD cars and regularly import them.

  • That took some skill. Nicely done

  • love the s13 silvia looking good

  • Just buy a 180sx xD

  • 180 sx its not in america dude

  • props on the hard work. i bet tht thing feels weird when your on the road haha

  • I cant believe I just wasted my time watching that

  • can you do rhd to lhd?

  • duh?

  • you just would need a LHD clip firewall and all that shit

  • Yay !

  • Comment removed

  • Yea I know the gauge pod is for a lhd car... my customer didnt want to buy another one, so I just reused the lhd one.

The Song is Ferry Corsten - Watch out

  • Where are you located? Did it cost allot to change it to rhd? Arnt rhd s13's way cheaper and in better condition then lhd's? I guess it depends where your located. Im from canada ontario and got a sr20, they are great cars.

  • It didn't cost very much, just took some time. I welded the firewall from a rhd front cut to the lhd 240sx, then switched over all the rhd parts. I'm located in the US, so we don't have the rhd s13s available to us here.

  • You can import newer japanese cars but why can you not import older japanese cars like 180sx's into the states?

  • you can import anything youd like. registering them is a whole other story. BTW RHD conversions are relativley cheap if you can do it yourself and get your hands on an old front clip.

  • How hard is it to register them and what do you gotta go through

  • that would depend on the state u live in. i live in CA and it is one of the worst.

  • Ah ic.

  • song?

  • why swap to rhd??? your guage pod is also meant to be mounted on the left, thats why they are so hard to see:)

  • song?

  • someone buy my 180sx RHD dash. nonone in atlanta wants to pay what its worth

  • wow sileighty ^^ nice 5*

  • E-brake on a rhd car is on the right. Closer to the driver. The rhd dash wont actually match up the center console. Its higher on one end.

I know this because I finished converting mine today to the other side and now the interior is done.

Rhd cars are fun to drive. It's the only plus here in the us

  • To answer some of the questions:

I cut the firewall from the 180sx and welded it into the 240sx, then moved the RHD interior parts over and wired it up to work with the 240sx stuff.

It wasn't to much of a pain if you know how to weld and do wiring (and have patents), it just took some time.

The pedals are in the same order in RHD cars and LHD cars.

Why do the conversion?.. My customer wanted it converted, so I converted it, plus its fun to drive.

The front end on the car is the silvia s13

  • didnt bother putting the e brake on the right side? shitty job.

  • lol I'm pretty sure the ebrake would stay in the middle of the car no matter where the steering wheel was. Where would you put it? the door handle?

  • honestly your a moron that doesnt know shit about 240's. do your research little boy.

  • honestly I could give a fuck less about what you say. And ya I dont know about 240's, but I've driven RHD cars, and the ebrake was where it normally is.

  • well on a 240, the e brake is towards the left side if its left hand drive, its opposite for RHD. every car is different jackass.

  • so how much would this cost, im lookin at buying a japanes 240sx and converting it to lhd

  • why the fuck would you do that?

  • japanese imported cars sell for cheap where im at and here cars are LHD so i want a LHD

  • but it'd be sick as shit to have a rhd car

  • Unless if you live in a country where they drive on the left like the UK, Austalia, Japan, and India

  • dude are you pedals flipped too. or do you still give it gas with your right foot

  • so it is a pain in the ass and expencive to do rhd to lhd conversion. i wanted to buy cars impored from japan like 300zx rhd and convert them to lhd.

  • One question, why? I mean why do an RHD conversion?

  • Cause it's MAAAAD JDM YO! lolz..

  • haha

  • what jdm enthusiast doesn't want rhd?

  • Real jdm enthusiasts get in Japan...

  • Did you just take your pillar gauges from the opposite side before the conversion and just flip them upside down lol they look like there facin more of the roof than you.??

  • whats rhd mean?

sorry i'm only just now getting into imports just now. i have an 87 supra btw.

  • Right Hand Drive

  • the driving part of the video seemed a bit dangerous LOL

  • where did you find your front clip from?

  • hey man is it hard to drive it on the road?

  • i got a question, whats the 'firewall' in a car? many ppl do engine swaps and ask, "did u cut a hole in the firewall?" please help im noob. thanks and nice babe car.

  • its at the back of the engine bay, it just separates the engine bay from the interior

  • its what the intercooler piping has to go around for a fmic setup, or it can be cut (which is why people ask if you cut it)

  • No its not

  • where do u live? and if its main purpose is a drift car why didnt u keep it lhd?

  • Why didn't you just keep the RHD car as it was? Then you could have had two cars instead of ending up with two cars put together and two detached halfs?

  • he only bought the front clip off the 180, he didnt get the whole thing.

  • shit...dont mid my comment....before..got cought up in myself..im sorta tired...it didnt dawn on me that it was right hadn drive..sorry about that..but car is nice though..im doing sort of the same in a 240 for drifting.. black top sr20. but a 92 maybe so the sr20 fits right in

  • im pretty sure the 240sx are already rhd as it is..so the conversion was usless..

  • i dont care what anyone says the rhd conversion is useless but i like it, it makes your whip different from alot of other stuff out there

  • In my city rhd is every where, left hand drive has become the rarity...

  • I guess the only problem you'll have is going to a drivethrough haha i hear this gives you car better balance for drifting?

  • Anyone thinking about a RHD conversion, don't do it. Its a waste of money for the same exact thing (unless you can get the parts free/extremly cheap, and do the labor yourself). Its also been said to be more difficult to drive with. Spend the money you would spend on that on some CF doors/hood, or a new radiator, new racing seats, etc. Something that will help you.

  • wow, that is sick, this is a real car...exactly what im doing to my 240 when I get it...except maybe bright pink

  • so who told u those rims looked good..?

  • I got a question WHAT FRONT CLIP IS THAT ON IT?? that is the exact frony end that i want sooo can tou tell me huhh??

  • fuck that must have taken a fuck load of work and a long ass time.

  • nice ride and nice rx-7 in the garage!

  • instead of going thru all the problems with the steering shaft. there is a kit that uses hydraulic steering same as F1 and 4x4 and monster trucks units. anyway you did good.

  • where is your shop located because i have a 1990 240sx and i want to convert to a right hand drive, and price estimate?

  • was it difficult to get it legal?

  • I WANT

  • wow good work! seems like a lot of work

  • its a drift mail car

  • what state is your shop in

  • i dont know what the point of converting is, in canada ppl will pay a lot more to have a usdm supra over jdm, or rx7, i find it would be just unpractical, anyway nice sr240!!

  • a usa supra has upgrade turbos cam etc

  • i dont know much of supras, but what would be the point of turning a practical lhd into unpracttical rhd

  • ywo words:

    devilering mail.

  • delivering mail quickly!

  • haha, yes! Well.. with the sr20, the turbo sits on the same side as the brake master cylinder/clutch master and the steering shaft in the lhd cars... it gives more room being converted and less chance of heating up the brake fluid. Plus it's just fun to drive.

  • I could import a 180sx with a S13 front end here in Canada for cheap, it would just take a little to get through safty but not much, people usually buy rhd here because left hand is alot more expensive. To buy a 180sx it would be 6 grand and up sometimes cheaper, to buy a 240sx then swap engines and do body and engine mods would just be alot more haha.

  • JDM: Japanese Domestic Market, what the Manufactures threw on the production models in other countries, other then the US, to make the cars look different. There really rare parts, and there expensive. Nice ride. I have an Infiniti

  • man thats got to be a bitch to go through a drive-thru, unless you have a passenger. :)

  • lol i never thought about that shits true tho

  • haha, just need to go through backwards

  • umm I am new at this tuner stuff.....and i woudl like to know what jdm is.... i am really interested but i gots a long way to go...thanx!!

  • when you say rhd conversion what do u mean thats how they come from japan are you in america?

  • rhd stands for right hand drive which the stearing wheel is on the right side like in japan and its for show but brings the car more valuable if done right i am doing one to my integra

  • How does it make the car more valuable?

  • well in the import market it is rarer to see a right hand drive but in regular market is dosent do nothing but really for more show points

  • whats the point of converting?

  • the owner of the car wanted me to convert it to be a sil-80 replica

  • nice, at least you did something to the motor. i just got done watching someone who called their car a 240sxGT-R and it was a SOHC KA24E!! i just want to murder people when they do shit like that.

  • a 240sx gtr, lol.. I could see if maybe they installed the rb26 and did a r32 front conversion or something... but just to have a stock ka24e, thats funny.

  • This video was gay, just like the wheels on the car.

  • Sorry it didn't meet with your approval.

  • advans are gay now? hmmm i thought they were one of the most sought after wheels last i checked. lol

  • all that work...its a shame the wipers arent rhd too...other than that, great job.!!

  • lol, yea we were going to change all that out, but the owner of the car didn't care and liked it how it was.

  • lol. you gotta get rhd a pillar gauge pods lol!! the point up cuz they are for a lhd. bad ass car though.

  • yea I know.. I told him when I was building the car it was going to be that way, but he didn't care, haha.

  • lucky bastard =(

  • Mint Rims bro! 8.5/10 paint them black though, leave the dish silver. Then the car would be 10/10!!

  • why wouldn't you just by a 180 and put a front end conversion on it

  • the 180 isn't sold in the US. If one is imported, registering it for street use is difficult, plus waiting for it to be shipped in. The cost would have been much more that way. This way there were no legal problems :)

  • b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l XD

  • Thanks!
