I wonder how much reality there was to the "I neglected you" portion. I know they had real life problems when Dustin became Goldust but that was later.
Great, memorable promo. Today, they could do this with Rikishi and the Usos.
wny did alot of the great wwf guys later go to wcw it just wasnt the same wcw seem like no matter who they got they just didnt give off the spark like the wwf did
I remember when Dustin was feuding with the York Foundation, Taylor called Dustin "Dusty Jr," which told us he was living in daddy's shadow at the time. That came to an end when Dustin went to WWE and became Goldust.
Anyone who says wrestling isnt real, show them a Dusty Rhodes promo. He made you believe it and feel it. Dusty could cut a promo now about having a match and still make you wanna buy a ticket to see him.
Any wrestler today or anyone thinking about becoming a wrestler should be required to go to Promo class taught by Arn Anderson, Rowdy Roddy Piper & The American Dream Dusty Rhodes. Without question the 3 greatest promo cutters ever.
@MNWreckingCrew Vince bitches and complains the younger stars don't know how to cut a promo. He has Arn, Dusty and Michael Hayes employed. He should just let them teach a class on promos.
I remember this promo. Even though it was a storyline, you could just tell there was some real emotion there..almost as if this were a heart to heart father/son talk. Haven't seen Dusty with this much passion since that classic "Hard Times" promo (old school Crockett fans know what i'm talking about).
hey when i remember her saying that that the bond between husband and wife will never be broken and then she flatlinered i so remebered this and i broken down and cried

If Cody and Dustin meet at Wrestlemania who's side will Dusty be on? Dusty has done some heelish things so far to help Cody.

I'm well aware that WCW was southern 'rasslin', but I shouldn't think of slave owners every time I see an old clip.
