  • i think matt's playin harder for the framp than for chris on this one

    jammy time

  • ... Peter's phrasing in this is so fucking brilliant & beautiful.

    Blows me out...... everytime.

  • Peter Frampton + Mike McCready = Incredible guitar duo!!!

  • This is SIIIIICCKKKK!!

  • im not very emotional, and this is bringing tears to my eyes...

  • Frampton is for sure one of the best guitarist around in my opinion.

  • Awesome guitar playing I could listen to this over and over.

  • I bet Matt Cameron was like " I thought I was done with this song" x)

  • Wow

  • Peter Frampton Is One Of The Most Talented Men To EVER Pick Up A Guitar...

  • amazing!

  • people just dont know what cool is. im mean common lady gaga is at the top of the billboards what more do you need to say

  • Peter Frampton, whose "Frampton Comes Alive" remains one of the best-selling live albums of all time, reveals his most embarrassing onstage incident. Read more at The Worst Gig (WorstGig.com).

  • Excellent...love it!!!

  • a fantastic renditintion of a classic song,show the way Mr.Frampton.

  • Dear previous generation:

I apologize on behalf of my generation. Last century, no one had any clue that music would go down the toilet. I listen to rock and metal in hope that someday, screamo will turn back into metal again, pop will turn into hard rock again, and all the whiny children of today that call themselves artists will stop kidding themselves and everyone else. I am ashamed to call myself part of this generation. We have failed you.

Sincerely, the few people left with some sense.

  • @skwisgaar821 Add me to that too. Our generation is severely musically challenged!! /:

  • He was great on the Guitar Center Sessions. I can remember when his Comes Alive album came out. I was in Jr High school. I was probably listening to KISS at the time. Van Halen was an unknown then.

  • frampton should change his to kickin ass i would i'm just saying.wow cool.

  • mike mccready!

  • Genius.

  • I knew that was Stone Gossard from Pearl Jam

  • @MusicalRelease It's Mike McCready actually.

  • @Audioslave3 i thought thats who that was!

  • damn awsome

  • @Lazerus53 That's an understatement! ;^)

  • Fantastic cover! But TERRIBLE video editing. Just show us Frampton playing! Argh, frustrating.

  • @thatguyhex I personally love the behind the scenes footage... Check out Guitar Center You Tube for his latest of Black Hole Sun on Guitar Center sessions... also on Direct TV ;^)

  • @dorkhunter1 ignorance the talk box is extremely hard to use, setup, and master , how is played out? i can name three maybe four guitarists who use them, by the way vocal tracks are usually the middle tracks in a mix, how many can you name?

  • soundgardens version kicked a@@.....but this one kicks everything else....nice one peter !!!

  • @yammyr1000 I am partial to Peter's version... but my opinion is biased. LOL! ;^)

  • It isn't elitism, I was just talking about quality of music and however subjective that topic is, there are standards by which you can measure music across all genres, be it pop, rock or alternate "counter culture" music. I do not have anything against pop, infact one of the most commercially successful groups in the pop genre,Beatles is one of my favs. So is Adele and John Mayer , But that doesn't change my opinion that music has slide downhill over years.

  • @sunithshyamlal yeah bro the Beatles we're pop.... but that's the thing. back them real artists made pop music. the REAL artist were popular. today the real artists play "alternative" or "underground" music while sum ppl who can kinda sing and barely play make "pop" music. everyone copies each-others sound and the big business decides whose "popular" and the dipsh*ts in the world today just follow along. yes. i would agree that music has gone slightly downhill

  • @ZoSoxSwAnSoNgx There was a lot of bad pop music back in those days too, and the songs were just written by some hacks in NYC, not by the artists. Really, I mean even in the 60s it was weird. You had groups like the Monkees that were made up of people who neither wrote, sang, nor played on their own records. So let's not idealize it too much.

  • Sorry, but Frampton "came alive" in the mid-70's, and now he's what? The ghost of Soundgarden?? Not on board with this shit.

  • @Rockmananov The guy can't like modern music and want to cover it? I guess great musicians from the 70s are nothing but jukeboxes of their own hits and should stop loving music.

  • Peter Framptom was, is... and always will be an amazing artist.

    Thumbs UP!

  • very good!!!

  • i just refreshed this pages like a 100 times to give it more views cuz its true lady gay guy should not have more views

  • You can hear Chris in the background if you listen very closely.

  • This cover brought tears to my eyes... it's amazing anyone who voted down is obviously deaf

  • Peter, whose seminal Frampton Comes Alive literally puctuated the pivotal summer of at least one 15 year old girl and Matt "Foo" Cameron, fellow alum from BVHS in the PJ studios doing Black Hole Sun...this is freaking me out!!!

  • Ooop! Just Pooped Myself...

  • great song, better version: terrific interpretation.

  • That studio is like a dream come to life.

  • it hurts me that a lady gaga video gets more views than this beautiful piece of music... evolution has reversed for sure.

  • @sunithshyamlal im right with you... music has done nothing but slide downhill since the end of the 90's

  • @lordpolvo Absolute horseshit. Music continues to be great, and is ever-changing. Clinging on to one period of rock doesn't make you an audiophile, it makes you an audioslave-- OH WHAT THE FUCK CORNELL DID YOU KNOW I WAS GOING TO SAY THAT?!

  • @sunithshyamlal Why? Would you prefer the steaming masses throwing themselves at everyone whose music you deem is "the best" and branding themselves with these logos and rocking out to their music on their ipods while they think they're "retro" and "badass"? No. There's a reason pop culture exists.. and honestly? I'd prefer to think that it's so counter-culture can exist. Enjoy what you like and let everyone else enjoy what they like. Cut the music fascist/elitism, it's lame.

  • @sunithshyamlal dont be sooo sensetive guy! really....

  • @sunithshyamlal never understood why people name drop all your doing is cutting a promo for gaga. Shit doesn't make sense at all.

  • @sunithshyamlal dont warry some years again, and none will remember lady gaga :-)

  • I am so fuckin baked.....THIS IS AWESOME

  • this version makes me poop my pants everytime

  • So gorgeous. So gracious (all of them). Nothing connects people like music.

    Nothing.

  • Frampton Rocks.. Classy Man

  • sound garden cover?

  • @lordlestat032 no lady gaga cover

  • @fruitypeebils --'

  • THIS SONG SOUNDS REALLY COOL WITH PETER FRAMPTON . THE ORIGINAL WITH SOUNDGARDEN BRINGS ME SOME FLASHBACKS :)

  • the original was a cool song...Frampton makes it great.

Too bad kids today don't kow what a REAL musician is.

"do you feel like we do?"

  • oh now this one is cool

  • I love living in the Seattle area. :D

  • im frikkin gittin chills.

  • Peter thnak you for been in Buenos Aires, Argentina , in september 2010. after 30 years; please come back soom. you has big fans here .............

  • WOW i already knew frampton was in his own class...but i could hear cornell singing these lyrics as if he was singn it almost....absolutly incredible

  • where can I buy this?

  • thats sick

  • beastly

  • 70's and 90's.. Pete's not that old..

  • fucking awesome!!!! and even mike and matt are in it, great stuff

  • i saw him last week and this was amazing

  • Yeah I took a video of this live last night. It was AMAZING

  • @dorkhunter1 your an ass...

  • @dorkhunter1 are you 12, boy? or do you actually work at sounding the fool. Frampton still has more telent than you can comprehend. It's quite cool that guys like McCready, Cornell and Foo Fighters have found a way to jam with him. Go listen to Humble Pie's 1972 Rockin the FIllmore. It's the real deal. You're just a nitwit.

  • @dorkhunter1 wow, what an idiot

  • Comment removed

  • Interesting cover.

  • Frampton to me is one of the best guitarists ever to walk this earth haha

  • You didn't really think Frampton would do a song without the ole talkbox, did you? Good cover.

  • Peter is a genius!!This cover is brilliant pure platinum,Best Black Hole Sun Version ever

  • An awesome version of one of the best songs of the last 20yrs. Frampton and band rules

  • explotes my head..

  • I get goosebumps every time i watch this video

  • not

  • MY GOD....sooooo good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this is fuckin sick. cant belive soundgarden got back together. so pumped

  • imaginary drum solo at 1:53-1:55 ftw.

  • haha tht was legendary, it wudnt have been as funny without calling it imaginary LOL

  • I liked it. It's just nice to hear a different take on it.

  • Talkbox's sound?

  • Neither can I. Supposedly because the video only lasts for five and a half minutes.

  • good thing the vid is 5 and a half

  • I just wish the video was in sync with the music.

  • so they have close a mil in gear in that studio and the bass palyer has what looks like a MIM fender-P with an Badass II Bridge (maybe I can't tell for sure) which is all of $600 bucks.

    AND HE USES A PICK!!

Pete get a real bass player.

  • only if chris sang to this version o my god that would be amazing

  • Nice tone.

  • holy shit!

it is Mccready from Pearl Jam

    and Matt Cameron from Soundgarden

    Hell yes!

Mccready owes my dad 20 bucks

they used to play pool all the time back in seattle in the early nineties.

    and im not fucking kidding.

  • and you sir are a motherfucking faggot go die u lieing bitch

  • You're probably thinking of Townsend. Who may I add was not found guilty.

  • Thank You, 007hor: Townsend was doing research for his autobiography and a second book which were in part based anti-child pornography as well as his his own victimization as a child.. Scotland Yard confiscated his computers, which they found that he never downloaded any child porn and no evidence of being in possession of kiddie porn. He was never charged but was issued a caution. Townshend's argument that he was doing research is enhanced by the fact that he is also a respected book editor.

  • Frampton / god

  • U N R E A L live. I was so fortunate to see Frampton over the summer. What a treat. I totally didn't know about this cover until i saw it live.

  • how can this not be rated 5 stars?!!??!

  • beutiful sent a shiver down my spine and tear to my eye.

  • hey misterawkward, howd u get this video

  • wouldnt the logical conclusion be that he got from the dvd after reading the description? he said it comes from the dvd in the description. so that would be my guess. but i too, am as unsure as you are.

  • Nice

  • its sounds so amazing and like revolutional.

    i really like it.

  • All I know is that is one bad ass studio! Holy shit!

  • is that matt cameron and mike mcready from pearl jam??

  • yep

  • The song is a good starting point and just listening to Peter Frampton is a good thing, so all in all it is a fantastic video. 5 stars. (Please rate this comment)

  • Me encanto. Sebastiano.

  • That was fuckin fantastic....closing the generational gap between the 60's and the 90's....may we all band together to say the new music of TODAY, well....sucks ass...only a handful of bands today are in this league...Bravo to PJ, Soundgarden and Frampton

  • @NGSameit your clearly tone def if you think there is no good music today. people like what they are comfortable with and know. try something new, you will be suprised.

  • @findinghomer and @MrCh33pshot This is a comment I made TWO YEARS AGO...if you can tell me that ANYTHING in mainstream popular music, even comes close to the grunge era (if you were even alive back then) then let me know....I know there are good bands in the underground club scene, or whatever else is not on the national radar.....but I am talking about how what we are subjected to NOW sucks....even two years later....the Justin Biebers and Lady Gaga's of the world.....1991-1997, grunge R.I.P

  • @GSameit It doesn't matter how long ago it was made.

    :/

You also didn't mention "Mainstream." in the above comment.

And the melvins are still making good music!

  • @NGSameit ACTUALLY my friend, Heavy metal is still alive & kicking.

I suggest you listen to opeth and change that ol' mind of yours.

  • @MrCh33pshot That's why metal will always be. The ultimate outsider music, even today, after all these years.

  • @NGSameit the 'SHIT' today.. and it is quoted as such, because that is the nicest word to describe what it really is.. as the word for it is itself in reality; thus is not known as music, but as to what i have referred to it as. doing so puts down this song ... and that's bad.

  • love the distortion.

  • saw this live at Harley 105th

  • yeah thats right i said awesomeness i had to create a word to describe this

  • "awesomeness" has been around for ages :D..hehe

  • forgive me for my ignorance in popular culture language... i just came up with it while i was stoned never heard it before hope you can find room in your heart for forgiveness for my terrible blunder

  • Sure thing...but whatever...this kicks ass!!

  • this is just fucking awesome.. i love chris cornell and soundgarden but peter frampton is on another level a great song played by one of the best there is.. god i love this this is pure awesomeness

  • This is great! And Matt is on the drums and he kicks ass!

  • I got to hear this song LIVE last night!!! Think this video is good?!!! The live version will blow you away literally!!!

  • did you go to Wingstock by chance?

  • WHOS PETER FRAMPTON?? WHOS PETER FRAMPTON???... rock ignorance..

  • no offense...but i hadn't heard him until now...and yea..he rocks :D..although i still prefer vocals on this track..

  • Frampton is one of rock's guitar gods. he started recording witha band called humble pie, then went solo. "Frampton comes Alive" was one of the best albums of the 70's. Watch "do you feel like we do" if you want to see his biggest hit.

  • lolololol really?

  • Who is Jesus Christ?

  • how the hell does one not know who Peter Frampton is?!?!??!? what planet are you from? do you even listen to music?!??

.... ok, that's out of my system, because that's hilarious.

This is a wicked version of this song, Frampton continues his genius...

  • this is really good

  • sounds weird

  • you're weird

  • the first 30 seconds are amazing

  • lol .... cute. but guess what -- i still like this version wayy better =)

  • The music was good, but the video sux....

  • like something jerry cantrell would make of this. just his style of playing

  • did a way better job than soundgarden.

  • lol, I don't know about that. He did a damn good job on the song though.

  • ahh, i just say that cos I don't like Soundgarden.

  • who are you to tell a person what they shouldn't like, it's my opinion what the hell..and as far as me being a dumb ass...atleast i'm not an ignorant stuck up son of a whore like yourself...oh and have a lovely fucking day. ;)

  • I'd rather be a son of a whore than an actual whore like.. yourself.

It's common sense. This is a COVER, a COVER of a Soundgarden song, you owe the band at least that much respect, for writing the fucking song that you like.

    Ignoramus.

  • This song Rocked at Harley Fest in Milwaukee

  • Redneckcasanova would love this track.

  • wow

  • peter frampton is a musical genious, his guitar talent is truly unmatched. he takes this song and makes it as if the music itself is speaking.

  • does that lesï
