I am guessing this is before the new millenium in the end Rin pushes Len into the elivatar as the robot len spider thing comes out while she closes the door only one person could go while the other pushes the button. The reason that she pushes him in so he can change their future which is why in the begining of the song new millenium he already is in the elivatar and at the end he and Rin are together in a better world :D
