This was the only part of any Stargate episode where I was on the brink of crying. I'm a guy, so my emotions were quickly stored away, but it still happened, and I'm not ashamed to say it.
I want to find the twat who made the final decision to get rid of Elizabeth and give him/her a swift, sharp chop to the throat!
Can I join you? No wonder SGA was canned after what? Five or six seasons!!! They got rid of characters that bring the heart and sparks to this show; namely Elizabeth Weir and Carson Beckett.
Yeah after 5 seasons whereas the original went 10! They should know that fans don't like their fave characters leaving/dying!
It's the: If she survives, and I gotta stress the if, she'll never be the same Elizabeth again.
That is what gets the tears flowing. I don't doubt that even a guy would get upset with that. Especially after seeing the distraught look on John's face!
Everytime I watch this scene (which isn't often because I refuse to believe Atlantis continued after Sunday and especially after First Strike) I tear up.
i know for a fact she reapers for an episode in the middle of season 4, but i don't know what they're gonna do with her:( i hope she ends up as a full time cast member again i love shep/weir

every time I watch it - my heart is in my throat. I feel his pain & anguish. Fantastic acting by JF - and it leaves no doubts as to his true feelings for her.
*wibbles* She's telling him like he's a husband wanting news about his wife... and he's almost crying... That was so heartbreaking, it almost made me cry. Thanks so much for putting this up!!
