@mrchaff: I agree that the whole "core" thing that's been going on the last couple of years is pretty stupid. The riff near the end of "Risen Through the Ashes" is pretty "core-ish", BUT this song is definitely not "core". The verse and pre-chorus riffs remind me of Lamb of God, which is most definitely a pure metal band. What gets me the most is how some people call anything groove oriented "core". It's like a band can't even play a Pantera style breakdown without someone calling it "core".

Solid metal through and through...never attempting to be anything but really which is why I enjoy it so much because its straight up, honest, in your face metal. I had a sick time at the gig they played in Plymouth last month, saw them first time out at Download 2008 and they destroyed all. Immense!

Have you ever heard Chromium or a Thousand Shades of Cold? They have the right kind of vocals, with high/low voice ranges. What do you think of Metal groups with female vocalists; like My Ruin, The Agonist, Echoe of Eternity; just to name a few?
