  • Hi ChinTube:) Quick question..

I might be interested in getting a chinchilla in future years, so sorry if this is a stupid question but do you sell chinchillas you breed? And have a business or site or something? Haha :D

If not do you know of some good places to buy chins from breeders?

    Thanks!

  • lol. that was cute.

  • I would seriously die if I saw so many chins at once :)

  • How many chins was there in the background, do you work there??

  • really cute. the chinchilla is pretty cute too...

  • I know I'm supposed to watch the chinchillas.. but those lips.... they don't let me.

  • 0:07 I would have died from the epic cuteness of little chin paws on my face!

  • I'd really like to know.. are you a breeder that sells chinchillas?

  • Where are you? A breeding ranch?

  • TO CUTE HEAD EXPLODING THAT IS TO ADRABLE

  • Best 0:27 seconds of my life =')

  • aw, so sweet :)

  • cute cute cute and cute. XD

  • how long does it take to tame a chinchilla so you can hold it that way and have it stand on your shoulder?

  • @piggypoo It depends on the chinchilla. If you get it young from a good breeder almost no time at all. My chinchilla came from a pet store and was mishandled by a family for two years and it took her several months to come around. They don't really like being held by nature, but some can become quite cuddly with enough attention.

  • @piggypoo, I know you were probably addressing the creator of this video, but they are correct. I bought a chinchilla from a pet store a long time ago and I will NEVER do that crap again. That chinchilla never trusted me. I think he went thru hell before I got him. When I got my girls as babies from a breeder, they were handled well and bonded to me quickly. Now they are spoiled seriously rotten. My violet girl even let me lay her on her back (view my video). They fully trust me.

  • @Lovingchinchillas same thing happened to me. Ive had the chinchilla for more than a year now and it still doesnt trust me! D:

  • @indestructablepie I hear ya. The first chinchilla I had never trusted me up until the day he died. He was mean, he would never let me pet him and it was hell getting him out of the catch to clean it. I know it's rotten to say, but I didn't miss him after he died. There wasn't a day that went by when he didn't try to spray me thru the cage. He was a monster.

I got 3 girls from my breeder as babies and they trust me fully. They are awesome.

  • @Lovingchinchillas i think i might just sell her. she also sprays me through her cage and i can hardly ever get her out of the cage. i guess its a lesson learned... never buy animals from the pet shops.

  • @indestructablepie I'm so sorry to read this. The one I got from a pet store never trusted me after 5 yrs and was still spraying me until he died. I just got a 4th one from the same breeder 3 days ago. She's about 4 mos. old, beautiful tan color, nice temperament and playful. She's already fitting in well. The real test if a chinchilla trust you is that if they have their back turned they are not alarmed if u walk up behind them. I can't believe the new baby lets me sneak up on her.

  • @indestructablepie If u can't cope with this you may have to sell her.

Also, it's a bit rare, but you can get a nasty chin baby from a breeder like I did. I got a 4 month old baby and she was nasty. She hated males and would hiss and bark at my son whenever he came near her cage. She had to go because she was upsetting the older girls & causing them to become anxious with her hissing. She never settled down and just got worse with time.

  • @Lovingchinchillas I actualy bought two grey chinchillas from a pet store and they were and still are very loving girls. One of them passed away from a heat stroke since it gotten too hot for the poor girl. The other, Dusty, is very spoiled and affectionate. You just cant judge a chinchilla based on iwhere you get them from. There are nice ones from a pet store as well as nasty ones but visa versa from a breeder. It all depends on how you handle and raise them.

  • @KittyandTheWolfTV ". It all depends on how you handle and raise them." That's true in a way, but some chinchillas never turn around due to mistreatment over the years. Many of them never trust humans again and see them as the enemy no matter how much patience & love you give them. I lived it with one so I know. I also got a chinchilla from a breeder that was nasty so I know this too.

    Thanks for your response.

  • @KittyandTheWolfTV " One of them passed away from a heat stroke since it gotten too hot for the poor girl."

Sorry to hear about that. This is a horrible way to go. I think it's slow and painful, but I'm not sure. I gotta check that out. Yeah, u gotta always keep that ac handy for these little ones. They run up my electric bill every summer :)

  • @KittyandTheWolfTV That's incredibly irresponsible of you! You should have known BEFORE purchasing a chinchilla that they have very strict temperature requirements. There are also signs you can watch for to prevent heat stroke, such as monitoring the temperature of the room the chins are in, watching their behavior (especially if you know it's hot that day), checking the veins in their ears to see if they're bright red, and making sure they're not laying on their side.

  • @FashionCandyJewelry Excuse me but I did make sure to know everything about chinchillas as I can. We were very strict on their climate and to make sure they didn't overheat. It was a very hot summer and unfortunately, our AC was broken. We had them in the coldest part of the house, had ice in their water and a cold peice of marble but she just couldn't hold out. It was because we neglected their natural needs or ignore their behaviour. We did everything we could for her.

  • @KittyandTheWolfTV My ac went out this summer, and not only did it go out, but the wires shorted and it actually caused the heat to turn on so it was over 90 degrees in my house. I had to relocate my chins to a friends house in their travel carriers while the air was out. Getting them to an air conditioned area was my top priority. And of course they're perfectly healthy now. I appreciate that you did so much, but I think you could've done more. Heatstroke is preventable.

  • @FashionCandyJewelry Please do not asume what you think you know and ask before you make such a strong assumption.

  • my head exploded from all the cuteness in all these vids...

  • awh :)
