i have owned a wrx and a tiburon and let me tell u from stock the wrx is 100000 times better, don't ever buy a automatic tiburon because the 4 speed is a piece of shit and it lags hard. dont get me wrong tho with sum decent tyres tiburons do handle well when they arn't understeering
Well yeah the stock wrx is going to be better because a it costs more and probably this time around you got a Manual, Auto Tiburons suck expecially in stock form. Modded though they can be pretty quick but stock they're a full second slower than a 6spd tib in a drag race.

cool video, Tiburons are one of those few cars that are very surprising when you modify them. The good thing about the 2.7 V6 is its an incredibly strong motor that can handle up to 500hp on stock internals. My friends modded mustang V8 blew up with 447hp at the wheels. I surprised to see what a big difference losing a passenger does to performance.
500hp on stock internals??? 300whp is already pushing it already. I know bc i have a stage 3 ngm s/c and my stock engine only lasted a month on 11psi of boost. I got a longblock now and its rated for 800+ hp. 8psi is probably stage 2 which is perfect for a stocker somehwere around 270-290whp
@ermarrero close to 400 actually but with a turbo. superchargers are hard on motors. and 800hp longblock??? yeah alright, Tim is full of crap. the sleeves will give up before that and he doesnt even stud his 800+hp engines. they broke an 800+ engine at like 480hp. the sleeves let go
@sleepertib I bought Lou's engine (Tibby03) full long block block with stage 1 cams and ported heads.. When I asked him what it was rated for he said the guy who put the internals together said it should be around 800 and be able to hold 26psi of boost. Now if it really holds I dont know bc ill probably never get there no matter what i throw at it.Im happy at 315whp with my sniper setup and I don't think ill like to go higher bc of the torque steer sucks. Probably do a 50 shot soon, but thats it
@ermarrero the funny thing is that last year around this time me another guy and lou were the ones to take your engine out of his car when he was parting out. then we put a stock engine in his car. they are built by R.A.C.E and NGM. u will be fine with that power level. it can probably hold 500 with a turbo but i wouldnt go pass that with the stock sleeves and head studs.

It is an ngm blower and no. 2 grand wont do it. Try 4500. He was running 8 psi I think.
