Hyperextended Knee (EDIT-Torn ACL Connection)

Same thing happened to me accept torn ACL and broken tibia I have surgery next week.

@DAYSOFTUNA I can walk just fine, jump and all that it just cramps every now and then.

I don't skate, I'm more of a geek I was just trying to learn to skate here and fail epicly xD

@mcd1992 i been skate for 6 years, when i got knee injured , myknee have a little loose movement and now i can't skate normaly everytime i try skate and mistake position of my in its really hurt.. but this is my question i can skate normaly when i get done surgery and therapy.. sorry in my english man its not my languages i use but i try..:P

@DAYSOFTUNA I had surgery and that was it, i never went through therapy and can walk just fine. Now as a being active on this knee the only thing i've done is running.

If you go through the therapy tho, you will most likely be able to skate again as long as you rebuild the muscle and other tissues back.

@wtfruo99 yea, knee has healed nicely. Altho I'll probably have arthritis later in life (it pops alot)

@mcd1992 yea mine does that to like when u bend it it makes a loud pop then sounds like someone is gargling its weird mines does that alot and it hurts and my knee cramps alot and if i stand for 5 mins or more my knee gives out

@ace31usa dude lol, thers this skate park at a military base that we go to and u have to ride down this mountain road and its really steep, u end up going lyk 25mph mabye more and when we wer near the end my friend tried to jump of his board cuz he was going to fast and he ended up rolling all the way down super far lol, was fckin hillarious xD

yea i dis located my knne plying football wit my friends but when it dislocated it tore my acl mcl and med miniscus and cartlidge i have had 2 srugeries one was reconstrustive for cartalidge and failed...so know when ever i jerk my knee just right my knee dislocated i put it back in and go on with what ever i waz doing

3 weeks ago i tore my MCL, PCL, and bad "bone bruise", my knee isn't what it used to be but i was walking perfectly in under 3 weeks, must be the ACL thats one of the worst tears, although this pcl feels like its digging into my hamstring and no matter what i do in therapy it won't go away >.<

yeah i tore my ACL, MCL, PCL, medial miniscus, and Capsule in my knee accident. it hurt like hell and couldn't walk on it for 10 weeks. (6 after surgery)

yeah i did this in January and now i'm back to playing tournament paintball and junk. i had a great surgeon. even though i can't feel my parts of my knee yet. lol

i did the same thing dirtbiking i poped it back in the socket and kept riding.... my surgery is next month

@jakezach1 I was snowboarding and clipped a skier's pole in the powder in some trees and smashed it up on one of the trees. Just wrapped my knee around the tree.

on average do most knees that have a torn ACL look like that? I hyper extended my knew and was wondering if my acl is torn. Swelling is no where near that.

fuck.. someone tell me if i tore my ACL. When i was younger, when i used to squat, i sometimes heard a popping noise, and my legs would cramp up and not be able to move. I had to manually move my legs back into place and another pop could be heard. Whenever that happened to me it hurt like a little bitch and me knees felt sore for a couple of days. This has happened to me about 4-5 times when i was younger.... do you think i might have torn my ACL

you might of done somthing but you didnt tear your ACL because you physically wouldnt be able to move you leg and their probably wouldnt be a poping cuz the acl is just a ligament in you leg that connects the 2 bones together but thats just my guess, if it still hurts and stuff you might wanna go see a doc. and get a x-ray before it gets worse.

from personally tearing my acl.. u are able to move it just feels very unstable may suddenly give out and popping is heard. get an mri and get to an ortho doc asap

well thats probably true i forgot i didnt tear my acl i just broke my tibia where the acl connects to so i had my acl connected to a loose chunk of bone. and it was like having a rock in a hinge so i physically couldnt move my leg thats y i said that i just wasnt thinking it all the way through but anyway you definatly need to goto a doctor and get some scans done.

you would have known to go to the er if you tore your acl your knee would have givven otu a lot...it hurt bad after it has healed and you havent had surgery and it gives out man it is hell!!!
