  • I have seen her in 60-70-80-90-010 And she is so beautyful

  • The one regret that I will always have in my life is that I will never be able to tap Dolly Parton.

  • All the commenters asking why the weird hairstyle and why she's wearing a wig should look at some old magazines from that era. Big bouffant hair was widely worn and wigs were fashionable even for young-ish women. It seems extreme now but it was common back then, starting in the late 50s, becoming really high fashion in the first half of the 60s, and remaining popular but less fashionable through the end of the decade.

  • She looks like she's about 25 years old in this video. Why is she wearing a wig at such a young age? I like everything about her, but it would be nice just once to see Dolly with her natural hair.

  • i luv dolly but wtf is up with that hairstyle.

  • No wonder she's called dolly, her face was like a doll.

    Such a gorgeous girl.

  • The label agreed to have Parton sing country music after her composition, "Put It Off Until Tomorrow," as recorded by Bill Phillips (and with Parton, uncredited, on harmony), went to number six on the country-music charts

  • For everyone saying Dolly looks like other people... Dolly looks like DOLLY. lol

  • She was a heart stopper!

  • miley looks like her

  • Wow dolly's hair had a life of its' own, I wonder if it had its' own agent ?

  • She is stunning. The hair, the dress, and let's not mention that figure. Super jealous.

  • She's like a country Marilyn Monroe.

  • She looks indentical to Hayden Paydenerre (sp?) here! wow!

  • She looks like her niece and goth child, Miley Cyrus. Also voice and why of singing is similar. Great!

  • @bouloukos08 actually you are kinda right, she has mileys face

  • please she still looks the same shes beautiful as ever and i have her up most respect

  • how natural she's looking... compared to nowadays.

  • Come on... I mean... THAT is country music!

  • good lookin!

  • i hardly recognized her! her voice is still the same though .

    pretty little thing wasn't she

  • porter - don't talk about dolly that way - she is more human than anyone!

  • she looks so pritty there

  • hayden panitierre looks like a young dolly

  • this proves that dolly parton was once, in fact, human

  • Don't talk about Porter that way...He was a real stylist and showman...The Last Great Hillbilly...The King of Rhinestone!!!

He always had a "Satisfied Mind"...

  • porter makes me cringe

  • Check my Profile - Amazing Video related to this

  • She's no Lynn Anderson

  • She's a lot better.

  • you're right....she is so much better.

  • exactly, she's Dolly Parton :)

  • Can't believe Porter was tapping that. Man, did that troglodyte ever luck out.

  • you are so without class.

  • a hit for fellow country legend LYNN ANDERSON ... written by Lynn's Mom, Liz Anderson, who wrote so many great country songs, including the Lonsome Fugitive for Merle Haggard.

  • pretty face &great voice& wonderful personality!! Dolly!

  • This is talent.

  • man, i cant remember her being that hot

  • That's because this footage is over 20 years before you were born! ;)

  • You she sound better then Liz Anderson. Wish they let her sing the who thing.

  • Dolly was naturally beautiful when she was younger. Just a doll!

  • LOVE hearing the great Dolly Parton singing a song written by another awesome singer-songwriter Liz Anderson. She does a great cover of it - wish she hadn't sung an abbreviated version of it (obviously cut down since the TV show was only 30 minutes) but the full number. Love Lynn's version, love Liz's version, love Kitty Wells' version, love Norma Jean's version, and now I love Dolly's version!

  • classy lady

  • Dolly has a more talented version of this song then the other,s singers. You here the string in the voice that she have so much to play on.

  • Wow... Dolly Parton was a knock out here. She looks so much better when everything is tuned down.

  • 40 years has an impact too ;)

  • Kinda' makes you wonder what she'a' looked like now, if she'd not done all the plastic surgery and just let nature take its course. Bet she's still be very attractive.

  • That was one of Lynn Anderson's first hit records - pre "Rose Garden" . Dolly's version is good, but doesn't compare to the original Lynn Anderson version.

  • Just surfed to the Lynn Anderson version and completely disagree! Sweet guitar lines here, and Dolly's...Dolly!

  • 0mg is that really dolly? she looks so nice!

  • Dolly is great! It's better than the junky music released today!

  • as good as that was, I, too, like the original by Lynn Anderson better. Dolly's version is still good, though.

  • Thanks so much ALLEN0955 for posting these lovely Dolly videos - I love them all but this is especially nice, Dolly sings like an angel, I've been a Dolly fan since 1972, she is just the best :-)

  • What a strong soprano Dolly had then. She's still ag great singer, but this is really beautiful.

  • One of my favourite Lynn Anderson songs. The original is best but Dolly does a good version too.

  • i like Lynn Anderson's take on this song better

  • Dolly used to occasionally do covers of other people's hits on the PW show. As prolific a writer and recording artist as she is, in 1968, around the time of this clip, she'd only had two solo albums and three solo hits, so when called upon to sing a different song each week, eventually she'd have run out of her own material unless she looked to other sources.

  • What a beauty she is

  • Porter used to do that a lot, cutting songs off in the middle. The show had an unrehersed "making it up as they went along" feel (which did give it a certain charm), but as apparently happened here, they frequently misjudged the time and had to occasoinally cut singers off before the end of their songs. I would have loved to hear her do the whole song.

  • This is just wonderful, thank you so much.

  • Never heard her singing this one before. Thanks for posting - your Channel is Awesome!
