I was watching the making of this or listening to the commentary and originally Bond sucked the blood from every one of her fingers and it looked a bit too over the top. They computer animated the rest of he sucking out. Watch at around 3:10 there is a tiny shift in the scene. Its hard to see but its there.
The funny thing is that i watched this scene so many times. I always wonderd if anyone else would think that there's something speciel with this scene. Now I know haha, thank you !!
I grew up feeling that Sean Connery was the "Best Bond". Well, I don't know if I'd declare Craig is better, but I really think Casino Royale arguably is the best Bond motion picture and Eva Green, the best "Bond Girl". The opening credits were so fantastic, I doubted the actual film would live up to them. It did.
wuau,.im just watching this movie for the first time ever,... and i av to say,... that is blowing me away,... and this scene is the shower is just so intimete so personal,...i just fell in luv with this james bond (daniel graig) so plz forgive mister pierce brosnan,..if is any consolation,..still luving u!!!!! hihihiiiiiiiiiiii.
@eddefy22 She's not a trained killer like Bond; she's an accountant. Those men tried to kill her, and she just watched them die in front of her in a very violent fashion. Post traumatic stress.
alas this goes completely against flemming's bond character. craig may be popular, it would have been better to create a different series of films with him, rather than try to make a "kinder and gentler" bond. flemming's bond is ruthless, and that is the core of the character--- happy people like his films. but i am waiting for a real bond, ruthless, like the book.
@northbeachfilms In the original novel as written by Flemming Bond falls in love with the woman and because of that love he resigns from the 00's. And of course he's betrayed and he becomes cold and ruthless again as you describe. But yes, he does fall in love with the woman, and they needed to show that for the film to have any emotional weight. So, no, this isn't against the character as the entire thing is straight from the pages of Ian Flemming.
this is so tender and heartbreaking...when you see th broken wine glass, one initially wonders if she's been attacked or something. at least i did. he opens th door, th big reveal: she's sitting, fully clothed, like a child, shaking in th shower. every time i see that it just tears my heart out
The shower scene is very erotic. This is were James falls in love with Vesper. I like Daniel Craig as James Bond, his swagger and rugged looks makes him for of a unconventional bond. The abs and the dashing good looks are a plus as well. Eva Green truly is a Bond girl, beautiful and classy.
@luvrick4ever you dont understand anything dont ya EROTIC??? what erotic you found in this scene in this scene i see love nothing with erotic or sex its just pure love!!!

Dalton and Craig rock. They play Ian Fleming's Bond, just like he is in the novel.

really shows the real emotions of a person when you have blood on your hands.

I love this part. It gets me misty-eyed every time. Masculinity and compassion together is such a rare and precious combination in a man.
