That is a cultural guideline that you chose to abide by; unequal pay was something enforced by corporations that paid female employees less because they could and they wanted to make a bigger profit. You make a 'non sequitor' argument error.

Additionally, I do not know where you live, but in the US the SSA lists the same retirement age for both females and males.

@marsjunkiegirl - In the UK women retire 5 years earlier than men even though the live longer. So they should be paid less to make up for this inequality. And the first part of the comment was not a political argument, it was a comment on the fact women clearly do not consider themselves equal when it comes to paying their way in the world.
