  • @TheJaynethepayne I guess they have hearing issues it's impossible to dislike Roy's voice :)

  • TWO KINGS RULED THE WORLD ROY AND ELVIS LONG MAY THEY REIGN

  • yeah he's better than elvis and wasn't racist

  • after i heard melissa green dedicated this song to allison green, i just had to hear it <3

    dgaf(:

  • Why is there a need to compare all the bloody time. Turn on your lap top . type in YT..Roy Orbison..Only the Lonely...and just enjoy it ffs.

  • not my time but i like it! only the lonely... ;-D

  • love roy orbison great music

  • There were a lot of great singers and Roy Orbison is DEFINITELY one of if not the best! I like many a singer but Roy's voice gives me this special feeling that I just don't get from any other male singer. As for women singers it's Patsy Cline that does to me what Roy does. She was really something too! It was an absolute tragedy when she died in that plane crash on March fifth which happens to be my father's birthday in the year of my birth.

  • Orbinson is a pathetic one-hit wonder. It's a joke to call him The King just because he wrote the theme song for Pretty Woman.

  • @DK2820 elvis said he was the best singer he ever heard

  • @DK2820 You don't need to wear your big nose, everyone now knows you're a clown after reading your comment. LOLOL.

  • @Dibby59

LOL sure dude, whatever works for you.

  • @DK2820 You have got to be kidding!!!

  • @DK2820 Roy was the only U.S. artist to top the british chart for nearly 2 years when the Beatles came in. He had 32 hits. Don Maclean sold 3.5 milion copies of roy's cover 'crying' in the uk alone. elvis never wrote a single song, was very good looking, charismatic and sexy - Roy did it without those attributes, just his voice & his songs.

    You're Elvis aren't you.....?

  • i think there is an honesty about Orbison's work, which shines through the tragedy

he experienced in his life-but his work reflects the sadness in a most beautiful way,

as there is always hope and love of life in his songs

  • Why do people need to compare? If you enjoy his music just enjoy.

  • Elvis will always be in our <3

  • when "The Beatles" toured UK with Roy Orbison in 1963, John Lennon said once

backstage when Orbison had just finished his "ENCORE"

"how the .... do you follow that"! He loved Orbison's voice and lyrics, and was very influenced by Orbison.

Orbison's life was so tragic in many ways, and his music refleted this as it should with any great artist, but it always had HOPE and intense beauty

  • @darkmossie633 Everyone in Uk loved him. A great loss when he left us.

  • This man was , and always will be a true Legend. A rock and roll great !

  • Another great track from Roy Orbison, used in the film starring the late John Candy, just great, Johnik.

  • a man who sung from the heart - you can hear the honesty and meaning in his voice

    just brilliant

  • if ELVIS wasnt king.........................

  • Am I really 65 ?- not when I shut my eyes and listen to this.

When music was music and songs had more than 3 words ; when you could understand every word and thumping bass hadnt been invented.

Beautiful then and still as beautiful and relevant now.

    Trot

  • True classic. I cannot believe 14 people dislike this. Must be justin beiber fans!

  • @thfcyidz probably. I like music like pop and hip hop and lots of stuff (it would be a lot better without Justin Bieber in it) and I still think this is awesome. Im working on a biography project about Roy. I've been listing to his music almost the whole time ive been working on it.

  • True classic. I cannot believe 14 people dislike this. Must be justin beiber fans!

  • It is very debatable whether Elvis Presley or Roy Orbison are the "KINGS of Rock'n Roll Music Classic". I personally like more "Roy Orbision" as the KING and Elvis Presley as the Greatest 1950s' Classic Rock Movie Film Star!!Each man is KING one in Music Videos, Roy Orbison and the other KING in Music Movie Productions is Elvis Presley!!

  • Elvis and Roy are both great, love there songs and voices.

  • Greatest voice ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • "Roy Orbison singing for the lonely..."

  • @SROD12321 Hey, that's me and i want you only:P

  • We love Elvis, too, but yes, he was right saying that Roy had an amazing voice, hope they are both singing their hearts out still, love them both always.

  • Dylan said that Roy was an opera singer.

  • Roy Orbison did not have the range that Elvis had. That plain and simple musical fact.

  • He is the KING of music !!!

  • why must the greats die in the 80s and 90s

  • His working with the voice and rythm is a true masterpiece. Elvis was right saying that Roy Orbison was the greatest singer.

  • Elvis said that Roy Orbison was the greatest singer in the world!

  • What a fantastic song!

  • Yep..., I go along with that

  • One of the Greatest Hispanic Artists in the history of Rock & Roll Along with Carlos & Richie Valens. The Big O!!

  • But, 'ELIVIS' was never king.

  • Elvis the King not Roy Orbison

  • @yasrah both kngs of their own domains - while Elvis produced songs (certainly in the later days) for big commercial gain, Roy produced songs that meant something to him. For example, do you know he wrote this in a motel room after losing his wife in a car crash? His wife was called Claudette in case you didn't know, look up the song of the same name . . . . . . .

  • Roy the King

  • Reminds me of my grandfather e played this all the time in his truck R.i.p to him and Great song from roy.

  • Thanks for sharing. It brings back the past memories !

  • this song was written and recorded long before J.D. Souther did "You're only lonely", right? Both are great songs and imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

  • This video is posted on Facebook page called "Golden Tunes - Sound of Oldies", so if you have fb account and some time, check it, i guess you will like it :) Page is for everyone who like like warm cozy sound of evergreen music.

  • elvis, robert plant, and all the rest of em love'd and love roy

  • this song is too short

  • @rodstartube lols, right? put it on repeat. just type "repeat" in the url between "youtube" and ".com"

  • Like "RainbowHorror" this is the first Orbison song I heard & was a fan for life. His 5 octave voice is missed. Glad he left us so much music for his fans to enjoy over & over.

  • what a voice

  • Lovely lovely voice god bless him, if anyone gets the chance check out BGT reject hes a great new singer songwriter

  • i argee with u there he the best and his music his excellent lol

  • 11 people are lonely....

  • This is the song that introduced me to Roy's magnificent voice. I haven't looked back since :).

  • Loved Roy Orbison....This song has special meaning for me. If ever I want to cry . . .all I have to do is to kick back and listen to the words . . . tears will fall ever so softly.

  • Hey dude whats going on. Justin Bieber has so much more soul in his voice. In 40 years we will all be saying, gosh those were the days when Bieber sang.

  • @DK2820 no we wont

  • @DK2820 Roy Orbison had a special voice, I don't remember what it was called, but he could hit notes Bieber can't, his songs had more melody, more meaning, and in forty years, we will still hear this and say "Damn I miss Roy Orbison..."

  • He's not with us anymore and as Roy himself said "It's Over". My music life hasn't been the same since his passing.

  • its a wounderful music! i love it

  • LEGEND

  • just saw a true fact me and Mr. Roy share the same bday wow... that is so cool cause we share the same bday as Mr William Shakespeare how cool is that.. just love his music..not trying to be anyone special..OH pretty woman

  • @jattpyb me too bro small lonely world :]

  • i believe he is the all time best singer

  • I've always had a fondness for Orbison, it's only seeing a doc. on his life recently that I realized what an amazing human being and truly amazing musician he was...In dreams I walk with you. Not to mention the unbelievable loss he suffered during his short life. What an angelic voice! True artist.

  • Would u agree this artist was the most successful singer songwriter of all time? Think about it he had successive hits over many decades and continued 2 have hits up till he died i drive all night was his last the same year he passed. How many singer songwriters can compare 2 his longevity of writing hit songs?

  • @westnblu - no other artist had his longgevity

  • Roy was indeed a miracle in music. I'll listen to his music even in Heaven.

  • i can really relate to this song,

  • ROY ORBISON IS THE KING NOT ELIVIS... thats what i think.! :)

  • @april84862 Elvis said the same!

  • @LairdScooby Elvis was one of Roy Orbison's greatest fans!

  • @april84862 i agree

  • @april84862 Elvis was great no doubt about it, but nevertheless, AMEN TO THAT BRO! HAIL R.O.

  • @april84862 sort of

  • @april84862 best voice ever

  • @april84862

    elvis even admitted.

  • @april84862 i think the same a legand im a big fan cl hull uk

  • @april84862 Elvis is the King. Roy is the Emperor.

  • @TechnomancerMorhion how bout buddy?

  • @TechnomancerMorhion Deity more like.

  • @TechnomancerMorhion Well said man.

  • @TechnomancerMorhion Elvis was an amazing artist, one of the best. But his title "The Kind of Rock & Roll" is self-proclaimed and undeserved in my opinion. I can think of several others that are more deserving of the title.

  • @april84862 Elvis might agree

  • @april84862 Sorry but Roy would be the first to disagree with you! : )

  • @april84862 how can you compare them? both great

  • @april84862

i believe elvis was only more popular because he was marketed as "hot" better looking whatever

    orbi 4 eva

  • HES BETTER THAN ELVIS!!!! WELL thats what i think.... :)

  • @april84862 Apparently, Elvis thought so too and was of the opinion Orbison was the one man who could take all his fans away from him, that;s what I heard!

  • @april84862 Elvis did indeed say that Roy orbison had a fantastic singing voice, however I think both of them are fabulous singers, and different people will have different views of who was best,I just think we were lucky to have both of them to enjoy.

  • @april84862 he is not

  • @april84862 Funnily enough, that's what Elvis said.

  • i have the same birthday as roy guess imnot the lonely

  • What a kickoff to the 60's

  • when did he die ?

  • @Hunnybunz1000 If you mean Roy Orbison it was December 6, 1988...it's in the description lol

  • this is so not better than elvis

  • better than elvis

  • @THEbadGENO well if hes not better as a singer that would explain why elvis said that roy was a beter singer than he was.

  • We miss you Roy!

  • Just love this song soooooo much

  • Superior audio and a great collection of images! Thank you, jabbola; you've done justice to this timeless classic!

  • i no why you cry roy. the same reason i cry.

  • his songs are beautiful, mysterious, and his voice unforgettable. Does anyone else see how he could be a serial killer? I mean this with all do respect; I love roy orbison. Refer to Blue Velvet to see what i'm talking about. He is almost too perfect, too reserved, sunglasses and standing still, to be normal.

  • @12345finchy is that comment true or are people of a certain age prejudice against contemporary music because all of their memories of growing up are attached to these kind of music

  • @12345finchy : i so fuckin agree with ya man!

  • I love Roy Orbison but as he got older he started to look like Larry Bud Melman.
