I swear when I 1st heard Sweet dreams I liked it, but it bothered me cause I knew I heard the beat before & I couldn't pin point which song. Then it hit me, that's MJ's "Beat it" slowed down. On her album credits I hope Bey states that "Sweet Dreams" contains samples of "Beat it!"

Wonder what Michael would've thought about Bey's underhanded "Beat It" revamp?!

Well thank you. Not only did he beat box but he was a musician in the actual sense of the word. He use to play guitar and drums before he did vocals in J5. He also would sample stuff for Bad and a bit on Thriller with i would say a bit above average guitar, piano, and drumming skills. He did the drumming for the opening of Beat It. But Mj did know how to use instruments besided Beat BOXING./

Michael was a musical genius as he sampled his music at home and took to the studio, not just a great singer, nor dancer, but a creative instrumentalist. i agree mj could have easily learned to play the beat it solo instead eddie having to do it... i wonder why mj never gained an interest in doing instruments, it seems he prefered working with art, cinematics, dancing, singing, writing and composing and directing etc. well instrument playing is a skill not a talent, one that mj could have done had he had the interest.

I like Elvis, but they do not realize that he mainly covered songs. "HE IS THE KING" is getting in my nerves. MJ made so much more impact than Elvis in music, and gave more. Plus Elvis can not dance. Good singer, but can not dance. Another note is that he seems bigger because during Elvis era there was no superstar. MJ was the second Superstar then Prince, then Madonna, they became after MJ.
