Hmong people are a tribal group, they dont really have their own religion. Migrated from China and adapt their lifestyles to Laotian and Thai culture. They practice Shaman. As far as Dancing goes, they do have their own dancing but it's very slow like classic folk dance, kind of boring. SO to spice it up they do other culture's dance. Most of these performance are for contest or ceremony. There's nothing wrong with doing another culture's dance, it's for performances and entertainment.

I'm really impressed by their sarees. It really look like sarees and that they make it themselves. Usually traditional sarees are very hard to dance in, but they made it with extra flair so they have room to move. Very clever!!!

i think it would have been best to wear something like Ghagras or Cholis because it's easier to move in and would enhance the movements. sarees are beautiful but watching dancing in it, you feel like the dancer is being restricted. also, if they had their hair in a long braid (even with fake hair) it would look nice...well i just think it adds somethign to the movements.

i would totally love if they added another india/bollywood dance. i totally love these dances.
