In public school in Ohio, we were taught the Minuet. Along with many other songs and dances. Say what you will, but in the '60s, we boys and girls not only tolerated it, but found it rather nice. It was just for a bit every week and was one way to teach us to play without throwing dirt at each other! I love the fencing scenes here, which seem to be at the stables in Chantilly. I have many clips of this up and am so lucky to live in France now. Thank you!
I think her honesty would be the only thing that would get through to him. I'm hoping he isn't viscious. It might be a game but he's getting older and he must be getting tired of it all. The juvenial aspect of it all. He doesn't seem to be a saddist but we'll see. Some people would walk over dead bodies to have a little more power. That's all this is. Having power over others.
