@diomedelanteigne To be honest, nobody tries to rip you off. True, they, especially the children keep badgering you for money, but there are no threats and everyone is friendly. You must understand these people are poor and they see tourists with expensive cameras and clothes and must wonder why these rich people cannot afford a bit of money for them. It is an unjust and unfair world...a bit of kindness can go a long way.

I am so glad to finally see a video of the island. Most people just show the ferry or the dock. It would be great to see some on island stuff from your next trip. How interested/knowlegable is the average Bangladeshi person about the environment of the island?
