I love my 2000 pontiac grand prix with the 3800 i would be very sad if something happened to it.

They really were not very safe cars on the road. What could of saved this line of car was introducing perhaps certain models from the past. The GTO was fine but they only made it for 2-3 years and then they took it off the market. There was somthing that really hurt this line to go out of business but what was it?

@JustMeDustin Sorry to hear that, I can relate this past july the 2nd coming out of somewhere my 02 impala ls got hit and totaled, and it was the model with the good engine, the 3800 series 2, the thing was in pristine condition until that day, I was out of it for at least a week, didn't even give a shit anymore. Sure you were the same way. How did you car get totaled? And hopefully at the very least you or anyone else weren't hurt.

@specks1983 I myself have a 98 GT. It is the same body style as yours. To answer your question, yes the lights do come on by themselves when it gets dark. There is a sensor mounted on the dashboard that senses light. When it doesn't sense light, it sends a message to turn on the lights.

it doesnt hurt as much seeing some 2004+ grand prixs smashed because theres plenty around, but when i see those 97'-03' 2 door grand prix gtp's it really hurts because theres very few left, like the first car in the slide show makes me sad

my little cousin had a 98 gt that he fell asleep behind the wheel in.He crossed the highway hit a slightly raised driveway,jumped a creek and landed in a field.The car wasnt messed up nearly as bad as it should have been,thankfully it had been raining all week and the soft field saved the ole gt.two bent rims and a few come alongs and shes still on the road today.I want a g8 gxp so bad!!I know its not a g.p. but man those things are sick.

the silver gtp at 1:37ish is the exact same as mine i have had mine for 4 awesome years...unfortunately mine ended up looking just like this particular grand prix i was in a line of grand prix's at one of our meets when i actually rear ended a fellow gtp and caused alotta damage...but i wouldnt let that be the end im gettin er fixed and i'll have spent a grand total of 16000 dollars on it even after buying it with 98000 miles haha GTP'S 4 LIFE

Highly doubt it. Though I am also one of the very few who hope they will be back, or, even better, GM to change their mind and don't kill Pontiac, but once a brand dies, it won't come back. You don't hear Oldsmobile ever comming back anytime soon, so..... :(

No Pontiac is coming back GM is just suspending Pontiac temporarly. Once GM gets back up in the game then Pontiac will be brought back into the picture once again. Pontiac has plenty of time to come up with new fresh ideas too in that meantime.

Their are millions of people ranting about GM suspending Pontiac and GM is rethinking it over if its good for them to get rid of it or not. If they get rid of Pontiac they will screw up miserably! But yes GM is rethinking it over, Saturn is their next option. Honestly who needs saturn?!? they were just knock off Pontiacs, they used the same frames and engines. Plus without Pontiac how will Saturn come up with ideas??? I remember when pontiac had the 2.4L Twin Cam and Saturn was using same parts

That would be cool if they kept it, they need to get rid fof GMC! all that is is a Chevy truck rebadged. Pontiac needs to make more G8 like cars to survive, bring back the Trans Am as a reasonably priced rear wheel drive V8 car. Make a performace vehicle again!

Yeah all GMC is a Luxury edition of Chevy, the only thing different between GMC and Chevy is the Chrome and the Shocks but and just for that little shit GMC ups the price an extra $15k which is B.S. Yeah Pontiac needs to bring the Trans Am back i agree 110% It would be nice if they made the G6 a RWD though. or if they had a V8 version for it that would be sweet! they need to bring back the Grand Prix only with more power with a V8 and bring back the Trans Am to compete with the new Camaro SS

its sucks for this to happen. i have a 2002 grand prix that got side swiped and tore the passanger side up.everyone told me to junk it but i didnt want to let it go to many memories. it took me 3 1/2 months and now the car is flat black and you can still see a little dam. and the front door and fender. but it is still the best car i have ever owned by far!!!!
