I gets me mad too when other girls say "oh i love hockey because the guys are hot." LOVE HOCKEY FOR THE GAME FIRST (at least). Why wouldn't he be honest?????????? Ofcourse it takes time to change your patterns of thinking and behaviour, especially when you're under extreme pressure. It's easy to say "oh, just ignore the pressure and thousands of fans jeering and booing at you", than it is to actually do it when you're in the moment. But that's what maturing is all about, and it seems like Carey has matured a lot, judging by his comments here and his demeanor on the ice.
After watching yesterday's game vs. the Pens I am extremely optimistic that we're going to see very good things from Carey this year. However, he is not a machine and can't control everything, he's human, and humans have emotions and make mistakes sometimes. That's fucking life. So ease the fuck up on the guy
I've never really been a big fan of the guy, but if everything he said was honest -and I'll give him the benefice of the doubts- he just won some points...
Can't wait to see him lift the cup!
