Probably one of my fave songs ever ... love both films ... Just wish you could get them on DVD in the UK ... alas I can't .... Have bought both films on VHS about 4 times over the years ... I'm with all of you. I was born in '83, which is a short time before the first Eddie and the Cruisers movie came out. A few years later, my mom introduced me to both Cruiser movies, and I fell immediately in love with this particular song. I like the way John Cafferty delivers this Springsteen-esque ballad with the emotion his voice possesses. I also think that his band, as well as The Mavericks, were both underrated in their respective eras (80's for John Cafferty, and 90's for The Mavericks).
