  • Sir, You are awesome. I’ve learned a lot from your videos. Could you pls put up a simpler acoustic version for the song “Yeh jo Mohabbat hai”. I mean to say a kind of unplugged version..

  • thanks praveen :)

interesting idea, not sure what you mean by that, you mean simpler chords??

  • @pjalan : Sir, I have heard this song in an acoustic event and it sounded pretty different and awesome (guitarist was using sweep picking and barre chords). I am not talking about using simpler chords. Example would be like unplugged version of rock songs....

  • someone must have improvised :)

  • could u lz upload the guitar chords of song " jo wada kiya hai hum ko" (rdfi sahab aur lathaji)

  • try the song in G, mukhda has mostly G, C and D ...

lemme know if u need any help!

  • sir from how much time you are playing guitar?

  • long time :)

  • hello..once again i have a query that i think u can solve.

sir i am using the same chords u mentioned here but the first strumming pattern u told is 'duu' but i play it like dud[muting effect]u.it matches the beats..is right sir?

  • u can always do variations and it will still sound right :)

  • hello sir...this is neeraj from agra..first of all..you have golden fingers...simply amazing... sir ,i am not even a beginner... but i want to learn...so please help me out... which guitar i should buy..and which books (spec. for chord diagram) wiould you suggest...i'll be thankful..

  • thanks for your wishes, neeraj :)

u shud check out web sites like torrins . com, they have good lessons

let me know if u have any questions ... pawanjalan@gmail.com

  • @pjalan hi i have a request that can you post video of tere mast mast do nain ........

  • i posted that quite some time back, pls check my main page for all song listings ...

  • Sir iwanted to thank u, even though iam just a beginner & i couldn't play al the songs from your tuts but i simply luv theway u teach.I am learning as well as enjoying ur songs.I must say this I've seen a lot of tuts on the net butnot seen any one strumming with such accuracy, sounding exactly the same beat as the song.Truly awesome. One Question, how do i practice to play with hand/fingers?mine are not strong enough it doesn't sound right? are nails important? I don't really want to grow nails.

  • thanks for your wonderful feedback, hitesh :)

    glad u like my lessons!

it take a lot of practice to get this accuracy, and i am still learning!!

using fingers the way i do will require a bit more!

nails are not important, in fact i usually keep them cut ...

  • sirr ....can we play wid plectrum...i mean to say tht i cant strum wid hand like u do...wat to do..

  • play with plectrum, it will sound better!

playing with hand takes a lot more practice ....

  • @pjalan--thanq.!

  • sir y u post chords only

    not tabs????????

  • sorry, i don't do tabs :(

  • Hi Pawan, My search for a source that provides an amazing collection of hindi songs to play on the guitar, finally ended when i saw your channel at youtube. Very grateful for the work you have done and for sharing it. Keep up the great work.

  • Thank you sir..........and one more request...i live in delhi (India). Plz suggest me a good book to learn guitar in which all major and minor scale and detailed strumming pattern would be given because i am facing defficulty with strumming.

  • can't think of any books, i leant on my own, only used some reference books to get hold over thery - my favorite is the guide book by ralph denyer ...

  • Dear Sir......Namaskar,in this video u have discussed that if u r not comfortable with barred chord then play in Am scale.which are those chords? please let me know.

  • namaskaar :)

r u referring to pyar hamein? it's in Cm, so if u want to use a capo and play open chords, place the capo on 3rd fret and play Am instead of Cm, G instead of Bb and so, just lower the notes by the same number ...

  • sir......you are awesomeee....i love you for your art.

  • thanks for your awesome feedback, pawan !!

  • Wow! Perfect strumming patterns.

  • thanks, my friend :)

  • Good Job. Keep it up.

    johny mathew

  • thanks for your feedback!

i've dont oldies of sd, hemant, op .... but strangely looks like i have missed out on sj !! will keep it in mind :)

  • Dear sir

I practice this song with C#m as there is piece in between where I use 4 Fred of 5 and 6 string and then open 6 string so plz suggest me without scale I should try Cm or C#m

  • i know what u r saying , ashsish!

that's actually a piece for the bass guitar, but if u want to play it on ur guitar that way, you have to play in C#m.

as long as u can sing in that range, it doesn't matter

but if u really find it tough, tune ur guitar one note down for all strings ...

  • this is great

but i use plugtrum due to which following ur method is not easy.

plz help me out this problem

  • hi there!

i don't play in any special way using my fingers. just imagine the plectrum is there, concentrate on the hand movements, they are the same with or without plectrum ..

  • I have become a fan of your videos. Learn a lot from them.

Can you please post the chords of "Tujse Naraaj nahi zindagi" from the movie Masoom.

  • will try, my friend :)

  • Hello Sir,

This is my second comment to you. You are doing great job. God bless you!!!

Can you please post the chords for Ae ree pawan from Bemisal (Lata MAngeshkar) I could find the same in internet.

    Thanks a lot!!

  • thanks, apurva!

that song is one of the finest classical based numbers by RD, so well fused with his typical rhythms - wud luv to do a video, but there are too many requests pending.

anyways, chords are very very tricky as the song is classical based song, and the harmonies had to be "fitted" in.

song is in E, mukhda has E, EM7, B, F# and D as well !! antara is trickier and has has E, Eb, C#m6, A7, A, D, B .. try figuring out the changes and let me know ...

    take care

    pawan

  • Pawan,

What can I say !! Just awesome !!

    Abhi Sanyal

  • Thanks, Abhi :)

Too many requests in the pipeline, but these are great numbers, will keep in mind ...

    Take care

    Pawan

    Best regards,

    Abhi

  • tere bina zindagi se ...

  • great song !! one of my favourites !!

Wish U A Very Very Happy New Year,

i am posting comment after long time.

you r too good sir,its just awesome.

i need ur help with one song from the movie "Aap Ki Kasam" and the name of song is-"Suno Kaho"..i am not able to find the chords for this song even on net.

so plz help me with this song.

i am big fan of R.D.Burman.

    thank you.

    take care

  • good to hear from you, jeet :)

    try the song in Gm

opening lines have mostly Gm, Bb, F and D7

  • hii sir..

    thanks a lot..

i will try it and let you know..

    take care.

  • thanks v.v.v.much sir for your new year gift, we just missed u a lot ..

    simply the best.!

how can u point Cm7 and Cm6 note, surely needs a lot practice

    :(

hope u get some time to recreate some more RD classics, like these.. but if you can add then please commit to SDB's "Meet na mila re mann ka, and Badi sooni sooni hai"

    tk cr sir

    god bless u

    -nikhil

  • hi nikhil

if i had all the time in the world, i wud drop everything and do lessons for all of RD classics! will keep ur SD request in mind ....

pointing out m7 and m6 chords takes a bit of "ear-training" and that comes with practice... there are a lot of chords out there i too have difficulty recognizing, so i am learning too !!

  • Pyar Hamein - Is Awsome (Some how I find it difficult to shift and play Eb not being a barre chord, also with Cm7 and the chords played before that)!!!! But You played it simply awsome!!! 7th position chords are killing me :(

Ye Jo Mohabbat - Beautiful (You have put intelligent variations for the first music piece - - It is goanna take months to play like that... absolutely fabulous)

Ek ajnabi - Rocking!! am goanna take this first... my favourite barre chords are there!!!

    Thanks Pawan Sir....

  • gaurav

pyar hamein slow part is easy to play, but the fast section will take some time, the other 2 songs shud be easy. just put in a lot of practice!

    god bless

    pawan

  • Thanks a million for Ek Ajnabee - one of my favourite songs!!

  • i must have sung and played this at god-knows how many parties ...

  • Wow Pawan, you recreate the magic of RD so well with your lessons!! Completely floored!!!! I have so much to learn from this post!

  • i am an RD bhakt - if i had the time, i wud do all his songs including classics like tere bina zindagi, mere naina and raina beeti jaaye, etc. for which there will be few takers ...

  • I m in

  • some day :)

  • hey your guitar sounds so great ... ofcourse lot of its share goes to you .. but can i know which guitar are u using here?

  • yes, it's a great guitar!

    takamine eg341sc ...

  • just checked on this guitar ... seems very good and ... expensive too ...

keep playing ... hopefully someday i'll play like you :)

  • i started learning decades ago on a lousy guitar for around Rs 400 and used that to learn my basics by myself - the guitar does make a difference, but it's ur passion really that counts the most. god bless, pawan

  • nice !! , Luv all ur videos .. ! Keep up ur gr8 work .

  • thanks :)

  • Great Songs... and Great teaching method !!! Love your videos Sir !!!

  • thanks, anjani ...

  • Fantabulous..gr8 job man..i was wondering whats the best way to practice bar chord progressions...ur advice wud help

  • thanks, sunny!

u cud check beginner guitar web sites like justinguitar . com for advice on that ...

i wud simply suggest - practise these songs along with the original playing in the background - try simpler songs with fewer changes and slower tempo initially - improvements will come, don't expect that to happen in a day - put in an hour a day, and u will astonished how soon u will master this ...

  • I like the way you explain the strumming pattern ... I am getting my new guitar soon & i am looking forward to play all these songs. Thanks for wonderful videos & keep posting.

  • thanks, and good luck with your new guitar!

  • Wonderful DADA....

  • thanks, darsh :)

  • Nice, I'd love to play this song!

    Thanks for the chords.

  • good luck, amit :)

  • Thanx a TON sir :)

U know how eagerly i was waiting for these songs!

    UNPARALLEL Tutorials...

  • thanks, abhi :)
