  • You Ladies are Wonderful :) this was so much fun to watch, even though my fiance is going to start calling me a 'hooker' now! My Aunt Kelly taught me how to do this when I was about 12 and I've totally forgot about it. I cant wait to go get that big hook. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Erin

  • Thank you ladies for the help. I saw on another site i should have made my rug in 4 hours. Been working on it off and on for 6 months now. lol.... cannot seem to get the tension right. However, i was working on the backside too, and i really appreciate the suggestion to work through both sides for durability. Now, I just need to know, where are we all having Christmas dinner at? lol I feel like i have a new family now. lol

    thanks again

    hugs

    dawn

  • How many stiches are you chaining to start out ? How long do you think this well be for the chains you are starting with ?

  • I like the stripes and the paisley. I think it is unique. So here is one vote for you. I LOVE how you put this video together. Made it look so easy. Thank you. Holly

  • What size crochet hook are you using?

  • @mrtigerboy444 It looks like a Q

  • I have some wonderful crocheted rugs from my aunt's estate. She used all kinds of fabrics (I've discovered some knits in there). I've been collecting cotton fabrics of all colors and plan to do some color themes. A pattern itself will not show up, only the main color of the fabric. I even buy some very large linen dresses when they are half price at the thrift store. The colors are amazing. Thanks for the great video and fun commentary ladies!

  • This is so helpful. Do you have the strip prep. Etc? And start up?

  • Nice video, thank you! What size crochet hook are you using?

  • where do i get the materials and tools and instructions to start this?????

  • love this idea!!

  • This was really fun to watch!

  • i love it a new way to use "naughty thoughts".

  • Glad you like the video :)

The width of the strips is about an inch. If the fabric you're working with is really lightweight, you'll want to rip it a little wider so that it will have more substance.

  • Great video. Thankyou very much. I now have a new hobby.

  • Is there any way you can show how to start an oval rug? By the way ,love this video, very helpful.,thanks , Jen.

  • What is the width that you cut your fabric.. Thanks for sharing the video...
