Could you please demonstrate from the beginning? and show how to turn corners and so it wont be curling up, I worked on one today and took me a few hrs. and then realized that it was really curled up,im frstrated, please help!!! Love this tute though! But I need from the beginning and how to make it as it goes around. :) Thanks for this video!!!
You Ladies are Wonderful :) this was so much fun to watch, even though my fiance is going to start calling me a 'hooker' now! My Aunt Kelly taught me how to do this when I was about 12 and I've totally forgot about it. I cant wait to go get that big hook. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Erin
Thank you ladies for the help. I saw on another site i should have made my rug in 4 hours. Been working on it off and on for 6 months now. lol.... cannot seem to get the tension right. However, i was working on the backside too, and i really appreciate the suggestion to work through both sides for durability. Now, I just need to know, where are we all having Christmas dinner at? lol I feel like i have a new family now. lol
I like the stripes and the paisley. I think it is unique. So here is one vote for you. I LOVE how you put this video together. Made it look so easy. Thank you. Holly
I have some wonderful crocheted rugs from my aunt's estate. She used all kinds of fabrics (I've discovered some knits in there). I've been collecting cotton fabrics of all colors and plan to do some color themes. A pattern itself will not show up, only the main color of the fabric. I even buy some very large linen dresses when they are half price at the thrift store. The colors are amazing. Thanks for the great video and fun commentary ladies!
The width of the strips is about an inch. If the fabric you're working with is really lightweight, you'll want to rip it a little wider so that it will have more substance.
it looks GREAT together !!
