I don't think Seohyun is a bad mentor. In the first EP, she was totally opposite with the boys. She has clear goal with high ambition while the boys didn't have any in the very beginning. She was too strict and put too much force which made his first impression bad. However, i think she is one of the mentors who put utmost effort on the boys, not only the maknae.

I think they are now more comfortable to each other.

PS- I like how Hwehoon reacts to Seohyun, especially the eye starring part :D
