  • I love the performance, but still think the veil takes too much attention from the dancer...

  • She's really pretty.

  • This is soooooooooooo unbelievably, BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!! ATS means American Tribal Style or ABSOLUTELY TOTALLY STUNNING!!

  • I love how the viel almost floats on its own.

  • I'd mate with her.....

  • I love her tribal style

  • how come her veil is flowing like that? beautiful...

  • she is using a silk veil :-)

  • Darshan is a personal friend. Someone I've worked with on several professional levels. She is magnificent, with otherworldly talent and energy. Rock on darlin'. If you don't know her or haven't seen her dance in person, please do so before you criticize. Her dance is: Egyptian? No. Turkish? No. American Tribal? No. But her art comes from the best place any art can come from... herself.

  • Yo, Khalilullah, let's not dis the dancers, huh? They are doing a great job and the music is terrific. It is what it is. Don't be a snob. May the fleas of a thousand camels find your armpits otherwise.

  • Djinn's entrancing neo-ancient dance music kindles fond

    nostalgic memories.

Devi dancer Darshan flows with the grace of the Shining Naga's of the Nile.

Bravo, and thank you Carmine Guida for posting.

  • I must say as a older dancer Im so happy to see in resturants a form of dance which truly is western with influences from all forms of ethic dance. Most importantly I feel it protrays women as strong and powerful, something I didnt feel from some cabaret dances I've seen over the years. I dont know if it was the costume or the management pressure to "entertain" the customers.

That said I'll watch a good dancer any day regardless of the styling or costume. You know her when you see her 8-)

  • Carmine... What can I say? I am in awe with what you have done lately! I can only chalk it up to your amazing passion for music and the connection you have made with the east coast bellydance scene. You are a fine example of "dream it and do it!" Keep it up.

  • Oh my god... that's the Lafayette Grill. Btw Hotlips... Djinn has a cd out now. Check their Myspace page to order it.

  • Oh i love. Im so glad to be so near by! I'll go see them the next time I see they have a show!

  • mesmerizing!

  • saaaaaaaassy! can't wait to get back to the city to see everyone....I'm totally missin' the mistresses o'freak...

  • Very nice I love the music is very spiritual I hope you Djinn can do a CD Album if you don't have any, if you have a CD Album let me know were to buy it ;-).

  • gorgeous, homegirl embodied the dance. absolutely beautiful.

  • That woman is fire. The kind that you WANT to get burned in. She kicks unreasonable amounts of ass.

  • So this is what the Brooklyn breakdance scen evolved into!?! :) I bet that Mr Freeze and Crazy Legs are practising the hurdy-gurdy and the cumbus right now!!

    HaHaHaHa.........

  • Carmine, I'm Raul from cumbus tribe...I find this performance not only strange and trip-hoppy, but also absolutely interesting. Keep it up guys!.
