i used the EOS Utility software that came with the camera, and when the camera is connected to the computer through mini USB>USB you choose "Camera Settings/Remote Shooting" to set a timer for the camera to take pictures every 5 seconds (or however long). you control the camera completely through that software. you leave camera in manual (after you find the right settings) and click on the little Timer Button. you can also choose the folder where pictures get saved. good luck! any other ?'s msg!

Did u use a mode on the t1i to capture images at a set time or something else?
