  • See Sugar the Bitter Truth children's version

  • Those guys are so innocently goofy... they really make me laugh. But seriously... they have really opened my eyes about CORN! Yikadoodle! Yi Yi Yi, Yikoooo! Yikes!!!! :-\ Thanks guys... GOOD JOB! Hey people that read this... even if only 100,000,000... if each one of us stops eating products with corn syrup... and only eat grass feed beef...do you think it would cause a domino effect.... to stop this CORN Monster from taking over. I hope so! Lets all get back to organic everything! GARDEN!

  • Wait, this wasnt a spoof to da corn syrup commercials?!?!

  • I think what the guy meant to say was "It fucks up your entire system by disrupting your endocrine gland, thus giving way to birth defects, cancer, and androgyny. Here's my number, I'm going to leave, so just take another sip of that garbage and call me when you start sprouting tits out of your fucking fat chubby cheeks."

Jesus fucking christ, the fucking companies who actually have the balls to make some stupid shit like this.

  • Ban IT

  • Coke and Pepsi and everyone else need to stop using this garbage and bring back real sugar.

  • @THECARS7879 They wouldn't make money, HFCS is way cheaper than sugar, they will never go back. But at least we have those overpriced throwback versions. YAYY!!!

  • bring sugar back

  • Hey Chuck! Blow me!

  • DDT should have never been banned. Mots of the supposed effects of DDT were spread by Miss Carson’s book "Silent Springs". DDT did not cause adverse effects on bird eggs under any reasonable experiment. No substance is as effective at eliminating the mosquito problem in an area as DDT. Since the banning of this fairly innocuous chemical, 50 MILLION people have died from mosquito spread malaria!

  • @tantoi10man Wrong. DDT was proven to cause lethal effects on bird eggs, and much else besides.

  • @searcherboy what evidence do you have to support this claim?

  • Oh how the big companies love us to tell us HFCS is "good" for you.

  • this is what I looooove about youtube. we can answer back! No more do we have to sit back and watch this brainwashing bull. One glance on youtube and you feel much better!

  • this is what I looooove about youtube. we can answer back!

  • Awesome. I am LOVING all of these anti HFCS ads... hilarious and needed!

  • haha

  • DDT is sweet.

  • "It's made using organic chemistry" xD

  • high fructose corn syrup helps to keep big pharma in business..

  • These GMO corporation's commercials are the lamest I've ever seen! GMO's are poison and they have the capacity to genetically alter human beings. It doesn't take a nuclear physicist to figure it out.! Monsanto has been the biggest destroyer of nature on the planet for decades and now they plan to take over the entire world's agriculture! Holding the patents to life itself is wrong, immoral and just plain fucked up!

  • it might not take a physicist but I think it takes a genetic engineer

  • No; it just takes a person who's smarter than the average zombie to figure out that messing with genetics is going to have unforseen repercussions!

  • BTW - DDT is what almost caused the extinction of our majestic national bird. It caused the shell of the eggs to be thin and brittle and they would break when the parent eagle sat on them. Thank goodness that catastrophe was avoided! (By banning DDT)

  • @ImGma Now they just need to ban HFCS

  • It's so bad for you that Snapple just finished a complete (and very costly) change in their recipe - solely to eliminate it from their natural "good for you" drinks. That's why their ad says their "best stuff on earth just got better". No more HFCS - read the labels. BTW - research is still being done to find out if HFCS has something to do with the "appetite switch". Seems it might interfere with our brain realizing we are full.

  • Bottom line, HFCS is a GENETICALLY MODIFIED SWEETENER. Do you really want that in your body? Not me! Google The Murky World of High-Fructose Corn Syrup and read the article. Youll find it very interesting.

  • Join us as we work to encourage the use high fructose corn syrup among fellow Republican and Libertarians as a smart inexpensive alternative to sugar.

HFCS is the same as sugar in structure and acts as a preservative thus extending the shelf life of processed foods that contain it.

  • or you could remove all the protection, get rid of all agricultural subsidises and allow people to import cheap sugar that is cheaper than HFCS.

  • High Fructose Corn Syrup is far superior due mercury content, sweeter taste, and it's ability to extend shelf life of mass produced packaged foods.

Note to mercury fear mongers: Mercury is a natural element and is present in many things we consume which is often approved by industry. It doesn't pose an immediate threat unless you allow it to stress you out to the point of elevated blood pressure or deep depression.

Health food nuts are driven to scare the general public.

  • all i have to say... IM FROM THE GREENE, IOWA. THATS WHERE THEY MADE THIS MOVIE!!! THIS IS AMAZING

  • For the people that think DDT is healthy i hope you do not have children seeing that if thats what your teaching them you might want to just end your life now to maybe let the smart population live and thrive. DDT is a cause of cancer in the liver, pancreas and breasts along with other organs. Cheer up you don't have to be dumb forever..YOU CAN READ!! hopefully

    SMILE :)

  • You know how many more people would have been dead today if it wasn't for DDT, DDT while harmful is not as fatal as malaria was the time it was developed. The NTP classifies it as "reasonably anticipated to be a human carcinogen", and the EPA classifies DDT, DDE, and DDD as a class B2 "probable" human carcinogens. It isn't that dangerous compared to malaria. Just because something is carcinogenic DOESN'T mean that you will get cancer from it, only that you might with prolonged high exposure.

  • DDT DDE and DDD didn't just have adverse affects on humans, it has had an elongated disturbance to the overall environment...you also do realize that the world population is over 6 billion people now and growing exponentially. Now you are thinking of the right now and save as many as you can...but does that mean our children will have a better life? Increased levels of DDT and other degraded forms of it also affect gestation and eventually learning patterns...

  • You talk about population growth yet you are not factoring in that people die naturally some at 1 year old to 100 years old. Not to mention deaths from natural disasters, those can wipe out quite a few people. Also you have disease, car accidents, drug overdoses, suicide. If you're worried about the population getting to big, you go first I won't try to stop you. Really, it's okay.

  • People die yes! in many ways i didn't argue that, i did argue that people getting as obese as they are are also creating a huge deficit of resources that the world no longer can sustain. Being overweight is a good indicator that you have many other problems when considering diseases and cancers along with physiological complications that arise when the body can no longer support it's very being.

  • As with me being worried about a subject and then joining in that incurring event...does that make sense? Nope it does not, I'm sorry for your deficiency of knowledge but have a good anyway mate :)

  • so is really better to save more and use more resources which we will not have at the rate of use as of now? and the people who are alive from the DDT being used more than likely have some in them since it keeps building up in the blood and adipose tissue...oh ya it's half life is 8 yrs...

  • The CHN is campaigning to spray DDT in targeted Republican districts in the southern states in order to control West Nile Virus. WNV was likely brought in by illegal aliens who want to burden our system and take away resources from native born Americans.

  • ddt is healthy, it never hurt anyone, only the bugs that ACTUALY hurt us.

banning ddt only left millions to die of malaria and starvation.

  • That's not true at all. it's way more complicated that that, besides, DDT was WAY overused in the U.S., i know that much.

  • it is true, since ddt was taken away from the 3rd world, malaria killed a lot of people

    carson lied, millions died

    overused shmoverused

  • if thats the case, we will let you have all the ddt you want! you know lead makes a wonderful chewing gum and is great for your teeth!

  • the fact of the matter is ddt is not harmful.

  • This is brilliant. Like in the English sense, meaning its a good thing.

    Brilliant movie too.

  • But DDT is fine in moderation. In fact, a moderate amount of it is *preferable* to a complete lack of it. If you're going to attack the stark increase in sugar consumption over the last few decades (yes, made possible by HFCS - and gov't corn subsidies), do that. But don't try to compare the two.

  • this is awesome. clever.

  • There is over 35 years of hard empirical evidence, in addition to this latest study, showing refined man-made fructose like HFCS metabolizes to triglycerides and adipose tissue, not blood glucose.

  • I thouht DDt was fine with minimal use, wasn't the problem the fact that we heavily overused it. I mean, we sprayed into crowds during picnics and they would just sit though it, inhale the fumes and continue eating. If it was used more responsibly I think the results would have been much more favorable. I'm really no expert but if we shouldn't use it here it should at least be used in areas of the world were mosquito carried malaria is a big problem.

  • I love how they blatently have DDT taped on there. lol

  • Absolutely golden. Big kudos to Curt Ellis and Aaron Woolf for driving the point home and making a mockery of the recent HFCS ads. Keep up the good work.

  • porkfat, use common sense. if something kills bugs.. it probably isn't good for humans either.

sure, a little bit of rat poison can kill a rat and not a human.. but just because it won't kill a human doesn't make it good.

I really enjoyed the video, I loved the "king corn" movie as well.

  • uh, actually it does. If you don't kill the bug, you risk a far greater problem than the harm that comes with consuming a little DDT.

That's the whole point of DDT and, unlike the HFCS people, it's makers never tried to say that it was good for you - just that it's a better alternative to starving to death because bugs kill all your crops.

  • ""DDT Was never proven to cause any harm."" Your spouting urban myth. DDT affects avian apex predators like the eagle. It doesn't affect chickens because their not exposed. It affects cats resulting in increases in rats in areas where it's still used. It also affects humans during pregnancy resulting in developmental problems and increased death rates. It's still used as vector control for mosquitoes, just not as a crop insecticide which was the largest use. Read the Wiki article.

  • "DDT Was never proven to cause any harm" DDT was never that great for Malaria eradication in the 3rd world because the mosquitoes build immunity. Usually a long term reduction in Malaria only comes with an increase of living standards. Most of the problems in the 3rd world are due to poor living standards, the diseases will always be there to affect those who are unhealthy.
