@Irishgamer01 Im not say there fucking gay as they pack more fudge then elton john im saying there so fucking wrong for making such a peice of shit game that doesnt allow me to play for an hour or so with out crashes. i know for a fact its not my specs cuase ive seen numerous people with the same problem. sure the patch allows you to continue after a crash or freezing up but fuck that it shouldnt have any problems at all. if it's defective it should ay that on the damn box
It crash on me today. I would recommend making sure all video drivers are update. I am get crashes sense the update patch. I did not have problems before they patch it.
This game crashes nonstop for me, I've gone out of my way looking for fixes to this problem and I can find none that work. I played the gigantic marathon game, and at turn 800 or so, I can't get the game to survive 5 turns w/o a crash.
@Rhandx Mind you it didn't just start crashing then, it crashed throughout the game. But they were more spread out. To give you an idea I switched the default autosave from every 10 turns to every 5 turns about 1/2 way through. And for the amount of time it takes to save just goes to show how often it crashed. The real bullshit is that at every 5 turns, I can't get a save without it crashing now at 800+ turns.
If anyone knows a fix for this pile of dog shit of a game, please post a reply.

I also don't drink (well sometimes) and don't smoke and don't like foreign holidays. So a real nurd.
I have a runtime error in Civ 5 after 64 cities are conquered. On the 65th conquered, it crashes. 2Kgames have admitted that this is an issue they plan to fix in an upcoming patch. I agree with you, it is disgraceful they don't fully test the game before release. Just speaks to their company's quality. I'll have a vid of my error up in a few hours. Cheers.
Well, I am more than just glad I didn't buy Civilization V. I played a demo and it's crashing crashing crashing - while you create a new game, or load an existing one, but most irritatingly, while you play, quite randomly.
@CallofDaniel Hay man I was peed off, it is a great game but if you cannot finish it WFT do you do. I have tried a fith pc, same thing. I would give it a few months till it is patched and then get it
@CallofDaniel Yes I hope so. To be honest I am going to stop playing it. Because it takes so long to play whats the point if you cannot finish the full game. Shame as its very good. Note: Its also about 30 secs or more in between turns to process al the moves.

The very latest patch allows one of my PC to continue on after the crash point, note have others that still crash

Wait till the patch, also, you won't get past the industrial age playing on the earth map in most cases, so avoid that map.
Civ 4 had way more errors when it came out, so give 2k some time to work out the bugs.

Phenom II X4 940 (3600 MHz, 4 cores), 4 Gigs of RAM, SSD, nVIDIA GeForce GTX460, crashes all the time in DX9 and 11 too, 550 Turn, Windows 7 x64. :(

I wholeheartedly agree with you man, this game is utter rubbish. My computer specs are:
