I've actually been thinking about an annular power section layout, not just capacitors. where you parallel TO247 IGBTs and diodes in a ring on two heatsink plates that are also bus. that makes the paths very short and balanced but the annular symmetry also means there is no EM emission. it has a certain UFOesque elegance.
