I really do wish that the show had told us a little more about the fate of Gigi... I suppose without it we can just make it up... y'know with the absconding of the engineer from Dreamland at the Fall of Saigon... d'you suppose Gigi might have died? :( tears... tears... it's so sad because her movie never plays true... at all. At least Kim had Chris for two weeks... I suppose... although Kim's story is nonetheless a tragic one.

she's good in broadway alright. but she's not the best in broadway. her voice is a typical voice of a broadway singer. when she sings pop, ballad etc her voice sounds too animated, girlish, thin, shrill, no soul, very cartoonic and disney-like, no passion and character. shes good only in broadway. she does not have a lot of genres which she can justify.

well, you're entitled to your opinion, but I think she has a pretty powerful voice (of course, if you compare her to say... Jennifer Hudson, of course you'd disagree). and if you've seen her in Les Mis, as either Eponine or Fantine I think you'd change your mind about Lea not singing with passion, soul, or character.

Whatever people think is 'best' is relative.

Lea may not have the 'best voice' but I don't think musical performance soley depends on voice. It also depends on the delivery and I believe Lea performs with conviction. Also she's playing a 17 year old girl in MS so her performance requires a certain girlish quality,

Sure she's no Bernadette Peters, but could you see Peters perform the role of Kim. I think not. Lea made this role her own and has the Tony to prove it.

I saw another version of this costume which has a short sleeve and it would be perfect for Lea. The costume makes her biceps too big.
