I remember hearing this song on the radio when the "Pipes Of Peace" version was released and totally hating it. But when the "Broadstreet" version came out a year later, I loved that version. To this day, I still can't explain it since both versions were nearly identical.
this is a nice video im a high school student when this video first came out watch in in a betamax now it's nice to have this again. thank you. long live sir paul and sir goerge
♫ I actually have put together for my own collection the very songs you just mentioned and more!!! A patient of mine gave me as a gift, a data stick with over 250 Beatle songs on it!!! I am in Beatle Heaven!!! ♫
2:35 - The sexiest man EVER!!! What more could a girl ask for? Paul McCartney holding his bass, playing one of my favorite songs and looking oh, so good!!! 3:29 - OMG!!!
I have been looking for this song for yrs. and I couldn't remember the name of it. When it came out I was in a long distance relationship with a man from Grand Island,NE he was a sheriff and I would wait for his phone calls and it was so painful being in love and that far away. I was living in Omaha and I wanted to be so close to him. He was gorgeous. Oh, I was such a young woman then 23 yrs. old and he was the perfect gentleman. He would drive all the way down on wknds. just to visit me.
I've been looking for this song sing the 1980's! I always remember hearing Paul sing on the radio back then a song where his voice was as clear and beautiful as a "bell skipping across a clear lake." It's wonderful to finally find that song and hear it again.
What can you say - the tune is the words. its brilliant. Like Beethoven couldnt understand why people couldnt SEE his songs - this is what Paul can do.
It is said that the Love between PAUL and LINDA was so deep and true, and only intensified the longer they were together ... I believe it. Rest in Peace, pretty Lady.
I absolutely adore this....I have the DVD "Give My Regards To Broadstreet", where this video was taken from. I'm hopelessly in love with Eric Stewart, and it cracks me up everytime at the beginning.... Ringo: "How's the new house, Eric?" Eric: After a bit of a pause.."It's alright." LOL That was his only line in the whole movie! It's totally priceless to me though :)
The more I listen to this song, the more I love it. I remember seeing it once or twice on MTV then it was gone. Had it in my head today and found it here. Once of his more underrated songs.
Love the little bass line he does on the bridge. Paul is also one of the most underrated bass players of all time.....
@nitedrive pauls actually a rly respected bass player, he brought a lot of things around that people use today...its just that the things he plays now/played then arent much different from whats played today
Someone mentioned it was a Lennon song and Paul did a good job with it i don`t really know. I have a friend who`s brothers saw the Beatles in concert and they were so far away that the Beatles looked like ants buts thats another story.
Good possibility that this was one of the "silly love songs" Paul sang about during that period. It's simple, entertaining, and so smooth. What a pleasure to watch Paul and LInda perform it together -- she was the true love of his life.
the more i play this moor the sad i get has she went

8 minutes ago It's funny how critics would call this 3rd rate McCartney. I guess it is if:
Yesterday and Here There And Everywhere, Maybe I'm Amazed are 1st
My Love and No More Lonely Nights, With A Little Luck are 2nd
Waterfalls , One Of These Daysare 3rd
