I remember hearing this song on the radio when the "Pipes Of Peace" version was released and totally hating it. But when the "Broadstreet" version came out a year later, I loved that version. To this day, I still can't explain it since both versions were nearly identical.

I have been looking for this song for yrs. and I couldn't remember the name of it. When it came out I was in a long distance relationship with a man from Grand Island,NE he was a sheriff and I would wait for his phone calls and it was so painful being in love and that far away. I was living in Omaha and I wanted to be so close to him. He was gorgeous. Oh, I was such a young woman then 23 yrs. old and he was the perfect gentleman. He would drive all the way down on wknds. just to visit me.

I absolutely adore this....I have the DVD "Give My Regards To Broadstreet", where this video was taken from. I'm hopelessly in love with Eric Stewart, and it cracks me up everytime at the beginning.... Ringo: "How's the new house, Eric?" Eric: After a bit of a pause.."It's alright." LOL That was his only line in the whole movie! It's totally priceless to me though :)

Good possibility that this was one of the "silly love songs" Paul sang about during that period. It's simple, entertaining, and so smooth. What a pleasure to watch Paul and LInda perform it together -- she was the true love of his life.
