  • Canada is at War. Afghanistan is a war zone. The Canadian Troops were sent to the location of some of the heaviest fighting has been taking place. There is no peace to keep let alone to maintain. It is a mad house with civilians caught in the middle. Every time I hear the term peacekeeping I want to scream, because it is a Political term to soften the stupid public. Canadian soldiers are always sent into combat. Every time there is a conflict, Even when the public is told the opposite.

  • @BackBlocks09 we did some peace keeping missions 4 example re biulding schools and handing out food and water? Thats still peacekeeping and yes we still fight and do covert missions. We just do more fighing than peace keeping

  • @dantheawsomeman oh and im talking canadian

  • @BackBlocks09 wow ok calm down, we may have not have done peace keeping but that is what the media was going with back when it started, and that is what they said in schools, across Canada, I remember because me and my buddys where like "why the fuck are we peace keeping, fuck that, peace keeping is dumb" so all im saying is that, it is what the news was going with in the beginning.

  • @BackBlocks09 we used to do peace keepng missions in afghan, but not any more, U.S and other contry's, but mostly U.S arn't well informed about other country's.

  • @BackBlocks09 Yeah I know, Nazis are a more accurate term in this day in age.

  • @callofdutyguy9 did the griffon is a improved version of the huey the griffon can fly faster can carry more troops and greater weights and for those who don't believe me look in to this

  • In a way we do, with them we can lay down accurate and quite a bit of fire power to protect the transport helicopters. Such as the chinook that is a nice big target. But that's my opinion

  • we desperatley need dediated attack helicopters one made here in Canada that would be awesome

  • @chris63952 why? we are a peace keeping country we have no need for that.

  • @Sneak693 you make a valid point

  • @chris63952

Yeah, I think the closest thing we got is those rocket mounts you can put on the sides of these things. A few Cobras would help out us Canadians so much in Afghanistan. I bet if they had purchased Cobras, they could have taken off a considerable amount of casualties, since the Cobras would find the Taliban before they could plant the IED.

  • fuck the griffon, but long live the Huey!!

  • @callofdutyguy9 your a moron

  • @poskyflyer you know it's true, the Huey may be used by other countries and has been cloned by the canadians and italians, but it will Always but an American Bird

  • @callofdutyguy9 its the same helicopter the bell 212 was the civy version of the huey this is a bell 412 and upgraded version fitted with new avionics and other upgrades

  • I love how our army is so delightfully Vietnam era lol. Has anyone else noticed our love of stereotypical vietnam music to go with our very similar looking hellicopters :P

  • @CorkedMagician

    true that

  • @CorkedMagician haha true, our air force is extremely outdated.

  • Do the canadians not have a dedicated attack helicopter?

  • Sadly no.

  • 2009 , 8 CH-146 will be send in Afghanistan from 408 tactical squadron and will escort the CH-47D for the Joint Task Force Afghanistan

  • Que de bon souvenir ....merci

  • Who knows, knowing our government they might outlast the Seakings...

  • Nice video, i heard they canadian forces were fazing them out. any info about it?

  • i dont think so,

i heard they just purchased some gatteling guns to mount on the fronts of the choppers

    but there only testing 3

and the could be sent to afghan

  • they would have to tweak the engines for an afghanistan deployment, even though I feel they can handle it as is. as for the M134 gatling guns they purchased, they have the huey installation kit which allows for a side mount, not on the front. they will be door mounted guns operated by a gunner. obviously that version wont be able to carry troops. the reason they want to arm the griffs is to have armed escorts for the new CH-47F Chinooks on order.

  • yah

and there talking about retiring 25percentof the griffin fleet in budget cuts
