Naveen embodies her beauty-loving, fliratious, but also spoiled and lazy character. No points for guessing who represents her jealousy... however, the fact the veve is crooked could also symbolize how Facilier grants peoples desires; with a twist.

0:19 Dr. Facilier IS a doctor; a witch doctor. Also, note the crown and the jester's hat hidden in the logo (resembling a veve, a symbol that represents a particular spirit in Vodou). This might explain why he slipped the card back into his coat; he pulled it out upside down, revealing his intentions...

0:45 He winces at the insult because he IS a con man- claiming extraordinary power but at the mercy of his unearthly 'creditors' (he and Naveen have much in common).

At 1:40, when he throws the box away, that is from Aladdin when the bazaar merchant throws away the broken item at the beginning of the movie. This movie is by the makers of Aladdin, after all.
