Not much of a challege a scoped rifle vs a bear at 100 yards. I'd much more respect for hunters if they use traditional weapons weapons like bows or spears .... then there wold be some bragging right.

personally, i believe that the best game to hunt is game that is hunted more for food then trophy, but people pay more for a good bear hunt then a good moose hunt, i prefer moose cause it tastes better and i haven't had to buy meat from the store in i don't how many years
bear depends on the time of year you kill them because in the fall their eating different things then in the spring . personally bear just has a unique taste from anything else, you have to cook them thouroughly because there's a bacteria or enzyme (im not a biologist) in the meat thats harmful to humans if they eat it and its not cooked. the best part, well i can't really tell. my favorite meat out there is moose, liver, ribs, heart are all really the best in my opinion.

They should rename the word "hunting" to "hiding" as in hiding behind trees and bushes (cowardice) many yards away, with a high powered rifle(false courage) pointed at an unsuspecting animal. Every now and then one of these hunters is killed by a bear or other types of animals, out in the wild, and it is hard to feel or sympathize for them, when they are probably just hunting for the sport of it. Do you really think they will feed bear meat to their wives, sons, or daughters? It's just trophy.

well, yes. More primative weapons prove more of a challenge and i don't have a problem with bow hunter's. I'm a guide and I don't care how you hunt as long as i'm putting food on the table. But, to me it seems a little more practical using a high powered rifle on a bear. although I don't think any self respecting hunter would get near a griz with a spear.

bear depends on the time of year you kill them because in the fall their eating different things then in the spring . personally bear just has a unique taste from anything else, you have to cook them thouroughly because there's a bacteria or enzyme (im not a biologist) in the meat thats harmful to humans if they eat it and its not cooked. the best part, well i can't really tell. my favorite meat out there is moose, liver, ribs, heart are all really the best in my opinion.
