  • And let me inform the parents one more thing: Sign language before age 3 would mean that the child can communicate with his immediate surrounding... But the danger is that once he gets a mode of communication, he would not put his efforts into listening or speaking.. And he can never reach max potential in speech after 4 years.. Why deprive your child of the best facilities granted by our time based on a bunch of lies?? decision was, is and always will be solely yours

  • on the other hand a child who is early identified and taught to speak , he could reach the skies if he wants to... he could easily get a Phd... In my personal expereance, I have deaf Phd friends all of whome can speak due to early identification and training... I want the ppl who put up this to point at a person without speech who has a Phd in any subject that is useful for the society as a whole ( rather than only sign lnguage)

  • How shockingly misleading!!!!! these people are trying to impenge lies on deaf individuals.... Never a clinician feels sympathy to a client.. Its always empathy... Those poor people who believes in this and deprives their child of early speech therapy and go for sign language... let me put it this way: while those who put up this video takes advantage: your child suffers, in education, emotion and peer group interaction..

  • what these people are thinking.......No point in using these words...our intention is only one thing...ie to rehabilitate the children...y they r making the children with hearing impairement as a different individual using sign language...give them a better world with us as a normal human being....we all aslps will work for them everytime... and forever....evenif any comments come....

  • this is realy wrong..or else may be true for some, but not for all...we have to diagnose the child, we hav to reveal the results, we hav to rehabilitate, on the other hand we are empathetic also.. the terms they used are all synonyms to those which we are using... the ultimate goal is to bring the child to a world we are in.. we love the child, we dedicate our health, our voice and whole of our effort and skill for each single child..

  • Loved this vlog. One thing I have to tell you this ... this is off the subject, sort of. Four years ago, my wife had a stroke - brain hemorrhage. Good news she is alive and doing very well. My point what? I read the doctor's report and flabbergasted he used the words "she is unfortunate deaf". I consider this is negative message from the doctor. That made me thinking ... is that how the most doctors look this as a 'unfornuate deaf''? Jeez!!
