A trapper friend of mine whom I go with to his trapline once in awhile made the mistake of trapping the weasel that was hanging around his cabin. Doing what was natural for a trapper... Soon after he had an infestation of mice. He no longer sets for weasel too close to the cabin.

How do you know where to set for beaver when the terrain is all frozen?

@NeuronTree i use explorer net sattelite internet uplink downlink same as a sat dish but it sends info and recieves info. sat t.v dish only recieves info $79.99 a month unlimited downloads.

ive never trapped wolf before but i noticed you left the trap exposed did you cover it latter or you dont need to with wolves i figured they would be the hardest to trap

Another good video! Did you ever try choking down a lynx instead of shooting it? They go down easy and then you don't get blood on the pelt when you pull it over its head while skinning.

Nice luck on the wolf. Trappers get enough bad that it's fun when the good shows up.

Can't wait for the traditional food vid.

Good dent on that beaver tail. Hook up those wires on your traps and save yourself some spud work!

@mushercdn no i havent tried choking them out but i heard trappers would put a snare on a pole and choke em out its easier to shoot em i can deal with the pin hole from the .17hmr and the little blood there is.

@bfxp63 yeah he only had his one toe barely in the trap.once it froze he would have ripped it out or chewed it off.

and he was tugging pretty good. i wish my camera battery wasent froze up would have been great footage in the trap

@stayingawake20 yes i do the tail is my favourite if you cook beaver meat just right its tastes like beef.

i prefer lynx meat though its better then beaver will make a vid some day on the traditional foods we eat here in the north.
