before i have dns3700 i was a big pioneer fan , i had a lot of pioneer players and i work just at pioneer. Now i bought cdj2000 and i need to say this is nothing special .... i dont know why is pioneer industry standard and why not denon ....
@Vincenhouse You didn`t understood it, did you? If you have a controler and want to dj with it, you`ll have to take it to the club. The 2000s and the DJM 800 are industry standart, so you`ll find this in the club.
I never really wanted to jump on the laptop bandwagon cause it's so easy to break those things and let's face it, in some clubbing areas/countries there are crooks to deal with. I'm loving the prospect of showing up with a bag of USB sticks and just going to town. And that thing about arriving 1st leaving last, that describes every party I've ever done. LOL
If you are trying to save money and can live with spinning from CDs go with the CDJ800s. Shop around on Craigslist and eBay for used ones. Set some money aside from at least a 2 channel mixer (preferably 4). Might come out to around 1.5K in costs, not incl. the cost of sound gear.
@mwanioyugi the NI S4 is only $1000US with dualCDJ & mixer in one piece of hardware, and that price includes the traktor software. so much better value than this...
DN-HS5500 had some of the "revolutionary" features 2 years ago allready :) M-Audio software has same features as rekordbox and it is also not brand new. A&H mixers sounds better then Pioneer and they are cheaper... It´s all about marketing brainwash - that´s why most clubs are using Pioneer equipment. There is no difference in how to operate CD player or mixer from other brand than Pio. It´s all "industry standard" :)
It's a nice theory but not all players are created equal m8. My mash up buddy and I have had this fight plenty. He said type of gear didn't really matter. I disagreed. He finally agreed when trying to use the new denon players with Numark Cube. 3-4 times a set he'd have to reboot one of the players because time coding or some such wasn't working. My pioneers never had an issue. EVER. Industry standard indeed
This is no revolutionary is more a copy of NS7, DN-S3700 and others this show how pioneer is the china of players lol, please pioneer lovers rate me low, this will show how i tell the truth
because any dj now how to use a simple cd player like the pioneers and don't want in a club that a dj come and tell you mmmm i don't now how use that and buy more equipment, but if you use a Denon player or another no is difficult learn where are the basic features of the pioneer or another player
@LucaSecretsundaze In Features/Price yes, in materials quality yes, if you need use a gear that is reliable that don't show error codes in the middle of the set (See Pioneer forums and compair with Denon ones) and make you see as a bad Dj buy another brand of a previows generation (CDJ1000mk3), but if you can't use a turntable keep using Pioneer is much more easy, if you have skills use DVS, DN-S3700 or NS7.
