@AgiaParaskevi2006 the word hasap is turkish and means butcher. in serbian its kasap. but this dance has nothing to do with butchers. it doesnt make any sense. the word means "dance, the serbian way" or in serbian "kas po srpski''. kas is from kasati/kaskati which means a walk. this word also means to trot because of the way the leags are lifted in the air.

The word Hasapo emenate from the ancient greek word hasko(cut something in two parts) Hasapis(butcher) the man who cut meat.

hasap emenate from the ancient greek word hasko (cut) but it is very dificult to understand this because you don't know ancient greek language.
