It's hard to see this beautiful woman singing her song and knowing she passed away in Dec 2008 just makes me realize that I have nothing to complain about. I only wished she would have found a donor. May she rest in peace and I hope she knows how many people's lives she has touched.
In the past, self was superior fantastically, and there were the times when shined.
Self is now oneself of all time in all the life history trace track distance era.
The thing that I want the marrow and the money and woman and children own need in the reality world is essential I get all it, and to grant all desires.
@ChrisAstro30 It's not bad! I did it the traditional way, and i was in and out of surgery the same day. The feeling that I helped someone is the coolest feeling ever :)
So sad about this. I got to meet Erica and Jaci in Boston through a common friend back in 2006, before moving to SF. Really really great girls. I used to check Erica's blog often, but then in sometimes 2008 I stopped. I went last night to check it out how she was doing, and found she passed away in December 2008.
So brave and such an incredible spirit. After I watched this I made quite fe adjustments in my own life. I don't want to let the loss of her life simply fade away. All of us who have our health have a duty to make the most of these precious lives we have been given.
God Bless you Erica, may you be resting in peace. I just came upon this video today, how I wish I had seen it sooner. Because of you and your courage, I have registered today and because of you maybe I will be called to help someone else. Many prayers and peace to Erica's loved ones, family, friends and everyone else posting on this thread...

Seriously everyone should join the Bone Marrow List it takes little time and is worth a lot! Finding a match is tough since there are so many different components of the bone marrow and blood that need to match! So everyone please donate!
Jackie, A friend shared this awesome video with me. I work to raise money for cancer research and I am on the donor list. I wish I could have helped Erica. I would have given my bone marrow for her. God Bless you and Erica, family and friends.
you are a very ignorant person, if you was about to die you would not be singing at all, but probably be cursing everyone and everything and blaming everyone for your condition. What, do you think it was easy for her to sit there and play the guitar and sing? no it most likely wasnt easy!
by the way i really hope that she gets someone that is compatable with her. Im not asian and dont think that i would be compatable, but i am going to go to the nearest NMDP donor center and sign up.

Hi: In case you are not aware of this procedure. My wife had Leukaemia in 1986 and a Autologous Bone Marrow Transplant in 1987. This procedure was performed by Dr Armand Keating at Toronto General Hospital, now with Princess Margaret Hospital. You must be in remission and they harvest your marrow. They do complete body radiation and return the small amount of marrow via transfusion. My wife is still here and well except she got Hep C from one of the 50 or so transfusions she received. Good luck.
God Bless you and I hope you get a match soon and hopefully it wont fall through again. I actually registered today before watching your video and I am so glad that I did. My husband also registered more to support me but after watching this video he is 100% sure he will go through it. My prayers will be with you.
I'm officially registered as of today ^-^ I didn't realize there was such a need for mix-raced donors (I'm part Indian, Korean and Irish), but I really hope I can help someone now !
I'm officially registered as of tiday ^-^ I didn't realize there was such a need for mix raced donors (I'm part Indian, Korean and Irish), but I really hope I can help someone now
Where are you located/ And when you say minority, what mix? I am German, Spaniard and Native American. I would be honored to help, if I am able to. My wife is Latin American and a 3rd African American, she is also willing to help. Let us know. I love your spirit, girl.
and to those saying u can't help because you're white, she is not necessarily asking someone to donate to her. she is getting awareness out about the need. you can help by spreading the word to your friends through email or posting it on your site (facebook myspace etc) also, white people need donors, too. just so you know. even if they don't have a neat video like this out.
i immediately posted an alert about this issue on my facebook because i have a lot of asian and ethnic minority friends and i asked them to post more to their friends. this song was very inspiring and i just want to thank you guys so much. it really moved me. i didn't even know this was such a huge issue. i'm in canada, and we need more donors here too!
I agree with Derbysanchez 1714... both of them are very pretty! =]
This makes me want to go on the registry.
I just turned 18, but I can't go on it... not until July. I've been diagnosed with anemia, so all that stuff is messed up one, and if my iron pills don't work then they are checking my bone marrow in July. So I can't get in the registry just yet... but soon!
Every now and then... I cry. A strange thing to do while watching YouTube. So much to hurt us in this world. I'd give my right arm if I thought it would help save someone from suffering.
What a nice song and gorgeous smiles! I've been on the registry for 15 years and gotten called once but not a strong enough match. I volunteered at a bone marrow transplant center in the past and worked with children. Wonderful to see them recover. Get signed up everyone! And good luck to you Erica -- hope you find a match.
I was lucky to donate in 2005 for a mother out in Illinois - I was actually selected for two different recipients, but only one was strong enough to accept :( Not looking for kudos, but just wanted to let others know that the actual operation is really no big deal. In and out of the hospital in a matter of hours, and back to work in a couple days. Seriously, check it out and become a donor if you can.
my dad's wife is alive thanks to a very nice man who donated his bone marrow to her - now he has a family of his own, but his kids are too young to understand their father's heroism. I wish I could donate, but I can't since I have diabetes. This is a very good video, hopefully it will inspire people to save lives!
Wow. Your strength and courage are undeniable. I see such a live spirit in BOTH of you, and you will be in my prayers... I have Lupus, and went thru the chemo, radiation, etc...and I KNOW I never looked as radiant as you do! Please keep your heart full and your smile wide...your beautiful...
my prayers are with all of you needing a donor. i was lucky 3 1/2 years ago. my donor saved my life. Lord God, if it be your will please answer the prayers of so many and deliver a matching donor to these young people. In the nmaeof your Son.....Amen
Please whereever you are in the world get registred!
Right now there are hundreds of people waiting for a transplant. YOU might be someones lifesaver! You might be the genetic twin of somone who will die otherwise!
All you have to do is give a little blood and a few hours of your time.
Please go to your national bone-marrow-donor site and read about it - spread the word -
ps: for those who are reading, if you're 18+ or under 61 years of age, you qualify to be a potential donor. If you are of different ethnicities as Jaclyn, your registration could help save another life. If you strongly feel that you would not match anyone, than repost videos such as this to better inform others of this situation. xo
Hey lovely ladies, my sister and I posted a video response to inform viewers of the statistics and facts of ethnic minority donors. We have been running drives so hopefully we get plenty of "hapas" to register and potentially save your life. Stay strong love. xoxo
I am more than willing to help you if I am a match! I am 27, healthy, and bi-racial (black & white)! If you are still searching please let me know - I only signed up for UTube to respond to this video so I hope I'm doing this right.
Praying for you Erica, had a drive '07, then BMT and couldn't ignore the astounding need for ethnic diversity on the registry so we're doing another drive in 2 wks, my husband posted my video story here.
you are a very happy looking person i hope you find a donor, i wish you loads of luck in your quest i will look into regestering to be a donor in the uk
You should make another video educating people on how they can donate...Where do you live? You are awesome. Good for you for keeping your spirits up. You guys are super.
You are an amazing young lady!! My 7 year old granddaughter is firmly in remission from leukaemia and it would break my heart if she was in the same predicament that you are in. I love the song and sincerely hope that you get your marrow donor real soon - get yourselves registered everyone!!
Join the National Marrow Donor Program's bone marrow donor registry! Feel free to call the NIH Marrow Donor Program, 301-496-0572 & we'll get the process started!
My wife found 1 match in the world! just 1! a 29 year old from usa. 1 out of like, 11 million in the world. i am, with the help of our 11 year old duaghter, hosting a drive. everybody probably has at least 1 donor out there, they just have to get registerd! thanks for the powerful video!
Now I finally believe in love at first sight! You are amazing women! I'm proud to say I'm one Papa you wouldn't have to kidnap! I'll check into registering ASAP. Good luck and Lotz of love!
that's super thoughtful, but unfortunately, no. you have to be 18 years old or have a family member who needs the transplant. But hey, in 3 years, you can register!
So wait I researching this and can't really understand. So they take needles and remove my marrow that will replenish in 6 weeks or so but what are the side effects of givning it or what kind of process do I have to go through and how long does it take.
I would love to be a donor. I had leukemia in 1976 and was healed by prayer...no other explanation it was a real miracle. Anyway, I would like to be a donor...after all I am cured! Wouldnt you think I would make a good donor but no...I cant...why? Because I had leukemia 32 years ago with never a recurrence. Interesting...anyway I can pray for you and will. It saved me from a terrible disease when there was no hope like there is now. God bless
Honey I really wish that I could help you but what I can do is to turn people on to this video and see if anyone knows someone who may be a match. I will keep good thoughts for you and wish that" a real good donor" comes to you soon!
Hi Erica, you don't know me, but I saw this video linked to a couple of friends' myspace bulletins. I too am from SM(currently going to Fresno State) and just had to say that your video has helped inspire me to become a donor. Going into a career of law enforcement has fulfilled my dream of helping others, but you have encouraged me to do more. Stay strong and keep the faith. Good luck to you.
i actually just tried donating platelets for a friend but they said no bc i take medicine... now im going 2 see if i can be a donor for bone marrow!!! wish me luck! i hope u get what u need. feel better
Hey Erica*Eureka* and Jackie this is Eddie from class of 99 @ SJHS.. this is a great video. My family prays for both of you. Your video is a Testament to your great strength and courage. We hope that a donor comes through and know that your video encouraged my family to register.
Best of luck to you on finding a donor. Was amazed that someone posted "Just remember that bone marrow extraction is REALLY painful for the donors". Painful or not, you are giving someone LIFE or a chance at life. It's well worth the pain. I signed up to get on the marrow registry and was lucky enough to be a match for a stranger. Was an incredible journey and learned a lot about people in general.
Dommage je ne comprends pas l'anglais bien joué les filles pour le ti compo il manque juste l'ambiance les personnes qui dansent les femmes qui chante les gars qui tape les table a coup de tapatap un bon ti cockail et tout au bord de la mer tous dans un jolie carbet a coup de mélodie guitare a la main la voix en vibration...tout le monde sera chaud assoiffé de musique allez on y va tout le monde vous attend !!! and to those saying u can't help because you're white, she is not necessarily asking someone to donate to her. she is getting awareness out about the need. you can help by spreading the word to your friends through email or posting it on your site (facebook myspace etc) also, white people need donors, too. just so you know. even if they don't have a neat video like this out.

i immediately posted an alert about this issue on my facebook because i have a lot of asian and ethnic minority friends and i asked them to post more to their friends. this song was very inspiring and i just want to thank you guys so much. it really moved me. i didn't even know this was such a huge issue. i'm in canada, and we need more donors here too!

I'm going to go get put on the registry.

You two are sooo freakin' hot! Maybe not appropriate but the best I can do since I can't donate to you...nice song too :)
Derbysanchez1713 3 years ago

Seriously, check it out and become a donor if you can.
thomaswilhelm 3 years ago 4
my dad's wife is alive thanks to a very nice man who donated his bone marrow to her - now he has a family of his own, but his kids are too young to understand their father's heroism. I wish I could donate, but I can't since I have diabetes. This is a very good video, hopefully it will inspire people to save lives!

I really admire you. I can't be a donor since I'm just 15. Keep strong.

Please whereever you are in the world get registred!
Right now there are hundreds of people waiting for a transplant. YOU might be someones lifesaver! You might be the genetic twin of somone who will die otherwise!
All you have to do is give a little blood and a few hours of your time.
Please go to your national bone-marrow-donor site and read about it - spread the word -
thank you
sumamme 3 years ago
ps: for those who are reading, if you're 18+ or under 61 years of age, you qualify to be a potential donor. If you are of different ethnicities as Jaclyn, your registration could help save another life. If you strongly feel that you would not match anyone, than repost videos such as this to better inform others of this situation. xo
BOMBTWINZ 3 years ago
Hey lovely ladies, my sister and I posted a video response to inform viewers of the statistics and facts of ethnic minority donors. We have been running drives so hopefully we get plenty of "hapas" to register and potentially save your life. Stay strong love. xoxo

I am not bi-racial, however, I do have o+ Blood. I may be white, but, I am pretty sure I would be match. If you need it, its yours.

RyRy0Rawr 3 years ago 2
that's super thoughtful, but unfortunately, no. you have to be 18 years old or have a family member who needs the transplant.

God bless
